That's great you haven't had issues. I was okay until they started shorting my orders. Even before that, I was having to order 3 of each to guarantee a pretty good single set of all the cards. In the end this is saving me money even if I'm paying slightly more than direct price.

Rookie Status: Still Intact through 2018

It should still have an RC this season... Just looked it up and he still qualifies under Major League rules of under 45 days active roster and at bats maximum...

I was looking at errors for the original 1953 set and didn't know they spelled Satchel Paige's name wrong on the front of the card. They even had the wrong picture for one player. I believe there were 7 with the wrong DOB.

Ohhh, I got you now. Understood. I was more thinking on the lines of it would still be a rookie card, and you were saying it wouldn't be his first rookie card. Correct sir. Still would be a cool card for a guy who may not have many. If he goes yard again for #4, he may need a Living card though, just on principal.

Oh yea, I agree- just a little disappointment on my end that it won't have that logo (if its made)

It will have the logo though.

A player can have many cards with the RC logo on it. If he is still Rookie qualified at the time, it will have the RC logo on it. Any card of his for this season will have the RC on it. Just like every Soto and Gleyber card this year has the RC on it too.

Maybe I'm wrong. His Now card today should have the RC on it though. :-)

No it won't, his RC Logo'ed Cards are 2017 and not 2018. Topps will only stick to these for the Calendar Year (see Trout)

Okay, but Trout was a long time ago.

If a guy is technically still a rookie, there is no reason not to put the RC on his card. And, as we know, Topps LOVES money...

But I guess you could be right... Oh well...

Domingo German had RC logo cards in 2017 and only threw 14 innings & under 45 days on the active roster. His cards this year do not have the logo despite still being considered a rookie. Once you have a year with the shield, you don't have it the next.

Rookie Status and RC designation are entirely separate issues. Essentially Topps owns RC and uses it to their advantage most of the time.

If they used the RC logo on 2017 Update, they are supposed to not use it on any cards this year. They have made “mistakes” in the past, but he should not have an RC in any 2018 set.

Otherwise hey would have used RC on Judge's 2016 Topps Now cards but instead, they call it "call up" card, ss Judge was a rookie in 2016 & 2017
