I can see it as being real. The question it leaves me, why was the original auto considered not authentic. Was it a case where the auto became faded or smeared and someone retraced it. I see it is serial numbered, so I assume it's not a proof card. Either way, possibly a real sale. Xfractor autos have sold for more before but those seem to be quad 9.5s. I wouldn't surprised if it gets relisted though.

Isn't that X-Fractor the one that looked like the "T" in his last name was traced and all squiggly?

If so, it was definitely touched up. Good on the seller for disclosing the history.

I vaguely remember something similar to that. Not sure if it was an xfractor. Isn't there an orange that's a redone auto too?

There is, and it was done because the auto was horribly faded.

Here's the X-Fractor prior to being modified:

And here it is post-modified:

I think what that seller did was about the best that could come from this situation. I actually really like the look of the card with the modern signature.

Since the Trout experts are here, wondering what a sealed hobby box of 2009 Bowman Draft goes for nowadays. At what price point would you buy in at? I'm asking as a friend of mine may be moving his two boxes and want to know what is a reasonable price on the boxes. I would buy to keep unopened.

Scans aren't showing up on my end. Would love to see what happened...

Not sure why you can't see them.

If you want to look them up, go to Worthpoint.com and search for "2009 Bowman Chrome Trout XFractor 141". This should pull up the previous auctions.

Yeah just shows up blank :/. But wow, the first one was missing the "T". Then was wiped and resigned with an atrocious fake. Then wiped again and signed in February. And, the card enjoyed a grade bump as well. Was previously in a PSA 9 and BGS 9 holder. Fake auto was in a BGS 9.5

Am I reading that correctly or did this card already get relisted and immediately sold? Does someone seriously value that card at $20k? That's more than what it's worth if it wasn't altered.

Really? Does eBay not sort best offers by the sale price anymore? I assumed it sold for $20K-ish based on it being higher than a $19K sale when sorted from sold high to low.

Good enough for me. Sounds like you may have some inside info If so, congrats.

Kind of concerning about the best offers, though. Ebay is pretty close to eliminating every free way to find a best offer sale price if sorting doesn't work. That may explain why sites like Watchcount have stopped reporting best offers.

I do, but not mine unfortunately . Yet... Hahaa

Yeah, it's truly unfortunate how we can't even check on that.

If DJ Lemahieu was on the Angels, they would definitely be winning this game. Instead, the Angels are stuck with this Trout guy.
