Excited for the Nets/Bucks game....

A lot riding for both teams and star players. Giannis has a chance to slay his biggest playoff opponent yet.

KD has a chance to solidify what he did in Game 5. Much of the way that game gets remembered hinges on Game 7. Winning the series puts an exclamation point on it, but following it up with 2 losses takes away the impact of the performance.

This is a legacy game for Giannis. There won't be a better chance for him to win a title than this year. Nobody should be afraid of the Suns, Kawhiless Clippers, the Hawks or 76ers with Embiid hobbling. No LeBron, Curry, or full Nets squad.

Not really.

Teams have become over-reliant on 3-pointers to the point that the no longer know how to score if they go cold from deep, so they build up big leads when they're hot, and lose them just as quickly when they go cold.

It's not any different than how Houston choked against the Warriors a few years ago when they were up 17 and then missed 27 3's in a row.

In the case of the Jazz, their only two real scorers are Mitchell and Clarkson, and the Clippers were able to keep them in check. Pretty everyone else on the Jazz other than Gobert (who's not a focal part of the offense) is a spot-up 3-pt shooter.

Anybody looking at the Jazz roster could have forseen that they might have problems on offense in the playoffs.

as soon as Utah went down I was thinking the same thing... this is really Giannis' best shot at a title right now. Harden is still shaking off the rust and KD already had his invincible game, so the time is really now.

My brain is saying Phx but my gut is saying Bucks.

Oh I agree this run gun 3pt era has completely warped these things. But honestly I felt like the Jazz experienced more of a maaaaassive failure on the defensive end regarding getting smoked on the perimeter. Whether they had potential solutions they could have switched up from the bench I don't know, but the amount of practice level undefended 3s they gave up in the 2nd half was absolutely ridiculous.

Kawhi got the whole team locked in like zombies... Mann and Korkmaz playing like the second coming of like he did with Siakam and OG in T dot.

Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the Clippers and Suns tips off on Sunday afternoon, and it appears unlikely that CP3 will be medically cleared for the start of the series. Paul reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. On Thursday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski said, "there's hope that he's not going to miss any kind of significant part of the Western Conference Finals, maybe one game, but you're at the mercy of the testing in that protocol." If CP3 is ruled out Sunday, Cameron Payne would likely slide into the starting lineup. Devin Booker could also be asked to handle PG duties for stretches. Cam Johnson and Torrey Craig may soak up additional minutes off the bench, and Jevon Carter could re-enter the rotation for a brief spell.

FYI I share season Clippers tickets and after Mann got drafted they held a ticket holder preseason event where Jerry West sung his praises and said he was impressed with his mettle and he thought Mann could play significant time and make a huge contribution to the team in the not so distant future. He also liked Jerome Robinson over Michael Porter Jr., so you can’t win them all. But I’ve been impressed with his hustle, energy and especially his shooing. Can’t wait to see what more he can do.

He needs Jeff Green to score 25-30 again.

If Harden does it, thats ok I guess.

Well, that's the thing....the Jazz aren't very good at defending the 3-pt line....look at their roster....old & slow guys like Ingles, Bogdanovic etc. and undersized guys like Conley, Clarkson, & Mitchell.

Their defense is dependent on funnelling guys to Gobert, but the Clippers stayed out of the paint and forced Gobert to come out to the perimeter.

Not entirely sure who I want to win this, but I’m somehow excited for this game either way.

Bruce Brown may legitimately be one of the most useless players in the league lol. I'm rooting for the Nets and I can't stand him lol
