This was well known before the election, that there were multiple states that the mail in and absentee vote couldn't be counted until after the day of. And the early voting numbers across the country were heavily in favor of Biden. So it is to be expected that the vote count coming in now would benefit Biden as well. Were you paying attention on election day of states like Ohio that could report early vote right away? Initially Biden had huge advantages and then once the same day vote came in he got slaughtered. It doesn't matter what order the ballots got reported or when they were counted. Mail in and same day ballots are both legitimate.

And actually Trump has benefited from recent vote drops. Arizona's last two drops just benefited Trump and he is on the pace needed to catch Biden.

There's 15 million more people in the US than 2012 and it's way easier to cast an absentee ballot this election. It shouldn't be hard to understand why turnout is higher this year than 2012, it's common sense. Would have been suprising if voting records weren't set this year.

That's because he is not a Conservative he is a Populist and that is why he was is so popular. He's anti-establishment especially the do nothing RINO's that have long ruined the Republican Party and have done nothing. He's also against war so he made the Neo-Cons like John Bolton upset who want endless wars so people can get rich.

Trump's problem is his ego and he's the bigger fish story guy. He's made a lot of mistakes sure but the guy has a lot stacked up against him but his ego wasn't doing him any favors imo. He just won't shut his mouth and stay off Twitter.

Anyway, one thing I haven't seen discussed yet is the idea of the "faithless electors". Pennsylvania and Georgia do not have laws on the books that punish faithless electors. Nevada and Arizona do have laws on the books, but I'm not sure about the punishment.

If the election does end 270-268, what role could a couple of these electors play? In 2016, there were a total of 10 faithless electors, with three of those votes invalidated.

If there any reason why some money is coming in on Betfair (not a lot admittedly but enough to push her odds from 1000-1 to 600-1) on Kamala Harris to be President? If Biden wins but something happens to him before inauguration she'll be the one right?

Probably nobody. Trump is already known not to pay cities for the rallies he has held. The courts and states better get any fees for the hearings or recounts paid to them up front. Otherwise they will get stiffed.

FYI folks, there are 28,000 ballots in Allegheny county that are received but not counted and will not be counted until tomorrow. These were the ballots that were sent out mistakenly (w/ errors) by the county and they have to go through them to validate each one. At the earliest, they'll be reported tomorrow.

So no matter what if the margin is inside of 30k by end of day either way, the state will not be called.

To request a recount doesn't the requestor need to wait 10 days after the election?
Further - to get a recount in a state, the state requires a down payment and the total cost can be close to $3 million.
