It’s not even that he wasn’t forthcoming. He was recorded by the media as saying he’d be ready for the opener, then tried to say the media misquoted him when it turned out he wasn’t going to be.

This is so pathetic…Pelicans are in full-on tank mode already. It’s getting to the point where they may try and just shut him down for as long as they possibly can. If I were Zion, I would want to get the hell out of there as soon as humanly possible. I just don’t see him ever having success there with the way they have been running things. Yes, the foot injury is unfortunate, but it seems like they did literally everything wrong ever since they announced that he had surgery.

The most frustrating part is that I just want to see the dude play and actually look happy when he’s playing. I feel like as basketball fans we’re getting cheated out of witnessing some really tremendous basketball.

It’s a tough situation for him. He either stays with that mess or take a massive risk and sign the QO.

Based on Zion’s voluntary weight gain, and involuntary injury prone situation - maybe the Team’s a mess and he’s a mess, which makes them perfect for each other. And I have a lot invested in Zion ….. just saying

I was initially hyped by the Griffin hire. Then I took a step back and realized I may have made a grave mistake.

- the best player of this generation fell into his lap
- was a mere spectator as LeGM utilized his cache to lure Love in and force Wiggs out
- publicly came out years later to denigrate his Akron experience despite being gifted a rang
- dude is the consummate pathological liar
- tries to seduce a young, impressionable Z on the keys (allegedly) with a lustful rendition of Unchained Melody (strong pedo grooming vibez)

Dude is terribad, and exacerbating the PR mess every time he steps to a mic.

Ship him before he ruins Daddy Chetneck's career before it starts.

As a Cleveland native, it is my belief that Griffin is nothing more than an average NBA GM. Maybe made a move or two that got the Cabs over the hump but the key pieces were all orchestrated by LeBron like JR Smith or Mozgov. Having a ring goes a long way, even if you didn’t do everything you claim to have done to win it.

You know what'sup.

I forgot to mention he shipped Zo and somehow managed to give up a 1st for Devonte Graham (poor man's CJ McCollum with zero defensive acumen). Not even sure what to make of the Murphy pick, but he's been virtually invisible thus far.

Having 1 win this far into the season speaks to the roster construction. Yes, I know Z's out, but they should not be this bad. Yet here we are....

Hot damn.
One and One purple (/20) PSA 9 just sold at Goldin for $2700.

A month ago that would surely have been double, if not more?

I don't think so. The short print parallels don't come up often, but from what I've seen don't command a huge premium over the silver /99 version, maybe 20-30% but not like double. Honestly in that sub $5k range, it's not a great idea to send to Goldin. I feel like the clientele there aren't looking for PSA 9s. An open market bid on Ebay probably would have been in the low $3k range

I meant double what it sold for now, not double a regular version. I had a glance and it seemed the normal ones were selling in the $5k range, so it's crazy to me that a rarer version (in mint condition) would sell for this low. I'd have thought it would have gone for at least $4k, even in current situation.

Unrelated, does anybody have a Noir Feature Length (either regular or parallel) available for sale/trade? The two in eBay are a bit crazily priced IMO.

I knew what you meant. But with the last /99 going for $2650, I’d expect a purple to be somewhere shy of $3500. Getting 75-80% of that on Goldin sounds about right. Buyers on Goldin aren’t looking for PSA 9s, it’s probably just someone picking it up for resale at a price where they feel there is minimal risk. That $2k-3k range on Goldin is perfect for snagging things on the cheap, terrible for sellers

National Treasures Horizontal Patch Auto /75 ended at just $10,700.

Nice deal, but somehow I feel like we’ll see more drops, especially near March-April.

Worst 10K I've ever seen spent. No guarantee the "buyer" will even pay. Smart if he does not.

That card was easily selling for $30k during its initial release iirc (maybe more) then last known sale was $18k earlier this year. Now it’s just a few hundred over 10k american $. If RPA is your thing as a Z collector, that’s a good price. I could be wrong because I don’t really follow NT RPA that much.

$10K is the cost of what 2 National Treasures boxes?

Blowout price on 1 National Treasures hobby box (not FOTL) of 2019-20 is $9,999.95.

$18k sounds like a deal.

I sold my only big silver and every other Zion graded card months ago. I got my money and moved on and out of his stuff. The decline will be even greater until he is serious about basketball and weight management. He is still your, but money can be better spent elsewhere.

Excited to pick this up last night… I don’t have a huge budget like others on here, but have enjoyed the depressed prices on Zion recently as it helps me expand my collection of him that I otherwise wouldn’t.

Never really had this card on my radar, but recently fell in love with it. Makes me nostalgic for growing up in the 90s and having really rare inserts that didn’t have a million identical parallels to chase. Just an attractive, standalone insert with tough pull odds. Now I’ll need to pick up a 20-21 version as well:

$18k is not a deal. $10k for a box is ridiculous. And we’re talking about the horizontal bastard version that nobody likes.

Right now, you could probably get three PSA 10 One & One base for $18k. Which would you rather have?
