This would be my biggest concern. And I as well wonder how much damage can be reversed. But i do think we need to try.

Well it's the truth.
We've all been paying more to try and slow it down for decades.
Cars with more pollution controls and much better gas mileage, electric cars, houses built much more energy efficient, replaced my homes windows which are much more efficient, windmills, energy efficient appliances, the list goes on and on.
All of this has cost us more than the older models.
I'd be more than happy to open my billfold as long as we can get every other country on board.
Until then, it would be economic suicide for our country.
I won't even get started on whether or not we can actually put a dent in it.

Edit to add, maybe we can do what Joe promised and put sheets of plexiglass between every student across America, and every factory line worker and office worker. You know, the plexiglass that's made from petroleum.

I guarantee it won't be anything like four years ago from the other side.
When it's all over we can compare videos.

I'm sure it won't be the same, at all.
There will talk of Fraud, and not accepting the results of an American election.
much different, to be sure

That part will be the same, the difference will be the amount of tears shed and the length of time it lasts. Four years is what they're up against.
My money's on 2016.

I almost can't believe I'm saying it, but I agree with Astros on this one.

Citizens of America need to stop acting like our government has never-ending pockets. This spending crap is wayyyyyyy out of control. We are spending nearly twice as much as we take in year after year. It's insane.

You want to pay for it, go ahead. Do your part. The US govt simply cannot afford it. Our taxes would have to nearly double just to keep up with what we are already spending, let alone anything new.

It's time for some fiscal responsibility, people.

Right, the dems weren't going on a four year witch hunt and came up empty handed. No I didn't vote for Trump but I'm at least aware of what has happened the last four years and its disgraceful.

With some people bringing up climate change, the elephant in the room is China. Those who deeply believe in it and are very vocal about it, even if the US was COMPLETLY green it doesn't mean much if China just does whatever they want.

From 2017:

https://www.factcheck.org/2017/05/tr...ris-agreement/

'Under the UNFCCC, industrialized countries are also expected to help fund climate change initiatives in developing countries, or Non Annex I countries, which include China and India. The Paris Agreement itself follows much of the same logic, and it uses funding mechanisms set up under the UNFCCC.'

'Meanwhile, China and India haven’t contributed to the Green Climate Fund. Of the 43 governments that have pledged money to the fund, only nine represent developing countries, the fund’s website says.'

'China, India, Russia and the U.S. were all donors in the latest funding cycle for the Global Environment Facility. Out of a total of $4.43 billion for the 2014 to 2018 cycle, U.S. funds made up 14.7 percent, or just over $651 million; China contributed 0.54 percent, or almost $24 million; Russia gave 0.4 percent, or $17.7 million; and India provided 0.32 percent, or just over $14 million. The U.S. contributed the second most overall, topped by Japan, which contributed 16.34 percent, or almost $724 million.'

..

These funds just want US cash flow. Trump was right to keep us out.

Half the people in this thread probably don't realize China's in the Paris Agreement either and it's the biggest polluter

And where does that money even go? Does it get divvied up between the other nations so they can buy weapons to use against us or something?

I guess there's nothing to discuss. If people can't see what we're doing to the planet then why bother.

QAnnon Cultists are mobilizing tonight.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Two heavily armed Virginia men found outside the Pennsylvania Convention Center were arrested by Philadelphia police late Thursday night. This comes as mail-in ballots were being counted inside of the center.
