Again, recency bias. I'm taking about his entire time there. Opening day next season, Ohtani will be the guy again.

If Freddie can continue the same output over the next 3 years and the Dodgers win another ring or two this conversation about which hat he will wear will be rather difficult. At the moment though, he will be wearing a Braves hat.

What I am more interested in is that Freddie is currently about 2 full seasons away from crossing the 1000 extra-base hits threshold. Only 39 players have ever done so. He's also closing in on 600 doubles and 400 home runs. Only 9 players in MLB history have ever achieved that number. He should hit that number in 3 seasons if he remains healthy. Of course, he should be about 200 hits shy of 3000 after 3 seasons as well.

I love the stupid comments. Freddie and especially his agent wanted to play games, drag things out, and get wined and dined. AA made a very solid offer and moved on to make sure they had one of the top first baseman in the league. AA would have been murdered by the fans had he played the game and ended with neither.

I couldn't be happier for Freeman after all he's been though with his son's health, his broken hand, and now the ankle.

Maybe the general public will finally realize how great he's been!!
