Also, have you seen chronicles basketball? I haven't really searched my area but I randomly found chronicles at the only target i went to last Friday which I found to be very strange.

Pretty sure there's like 4 or 5 of that MTG box sitting on the shelf at my Walmart and they've been there since last Friday. Can't be worth too much resale as I'm pretty sure the flippers would've gotten them by now. What do I know though.

So now some teenagers who play MTG are going to try and buy the new release and mcwildcats and the others here who have no idea what MTG is are going to buy this up to flip it and said teenagers will be out of luck and wont be able to play their new game.

Thats the same thing the soccer moms and sneaker boys are doing to the baseball card collectors.

Not judging, just pointing out the irony of the last few posts. Bunch of sports card collectors (or maybe just flippers) all of a sudden asking target stocker about the MTG boxes flying off the shelves.

LOL No, I'm not looking to clear these out if I find them. I have been looking more and more into Pokemon as I do see a lot of that on my hunts. If I can't find any sports cards, I want to buy something I can collect unopened (I'm not a flipper). Sorry, not sorry.

GF stopped at a Target during her lunch break today, she said the card section looked like a bomb went off in it.

She overheard two stockers talking about the cards and how they were tired of people texting them to see if certain products had been dropped off yet.

The one stocker said the rep hadn't been there in a month and she was getting tired of all the texts 3-4-5 times a day...

The way I play it is I have a "general idea" when my two walgreens get stocked. I usually show up during those times, and sometimes i'll see stuff to buy. About a week ago I stopped by my Target the day before the normal stock date and ended up finding about 2 cello boxes of Panini Chronicles Soccer. Unfortunately baseball usually goes quickly. I have once come and the guy had Bowman Mega Boxes. The other 10 mega boxes I bought were all on ebay for between 32-40/piece.

Why not branch back for some older stuff MC? I'm finding some good deals in BSKB/FB/BB for unopened.

Also one very rude collector harassing the front end employees demanding to know when the vendor would be in and that he should be called and informed when product came in. Also wanted to know the schedule of whomever did the stocking.

But at the same time claimed that him and the vendor were friends and it was ok to tell him.

I honestly haven't looked much at the older stuff as I just assumed it was ALL pretty much priced high given this crazy environment. Would love to hear what you're referring to if you care to share. I've just been all focused lately on trying to find the new releases at MSRP.

I could well be wrong but I could see a macro shift of people being sick of being completely shut out of retail sports options and shifting to other stuff like Pokemon. But, we'll see...
