I don't know VD and I don't care. Many of you are focused on his character instead of what he said which should be the topic of discussion. Pick another guy you respect that is saying the same thing so we can get on to the message.

After reading this entire thing, I noticed not a single person got outside of the card/collectible markets (aside from some brief mentions of housing bubble) to determine their level of risk. You are simply focused on your own small market, which is in an obvious bubble (but everything is, not just cards) instead of risk coming from larger, more powerful forces.

Do you all think the current world order is stable? If you do, carry on as you are. Yes, the cards will pop at some point as TBP and others are saying, and yes they'll go back up and do their thing after. If you don't, like it or not, you are holding nothing of intrinsic value and everything will crash as it should (aside from art type pieces which will be horded and protected). You may not, but I see serious warning signs of breakdown in global order and the natural cycle of civilizations may be moving to the next stage but this time on a global scale.

Khal, I don't know why you insist on someone giving you an exact time frame of collapse. It doesn't really work that way. Those that recognize the patterns early come out better than those that don't but even pinpointing a year is nearly impossible. Would be curious if some investors told Michael Burry I'm not investing with you because you can't tell me when. Oops. Also, as pewe mentioned, if cards could be shorted, I'm sure many would. But since they cant they can only "put their money where their mouth is" by selling everything and waiting.
