welp, got it. Only took 3 hours haha. Very easy once it was my turn though, already had $100 loaded into dapper from the other day, hoping I got access to a premium pack. I guess this'll do. My first transaction in 8 days.

Tend to agree. I don't see the long term value. Probably because I'm ancient when compared to most doing it. BUT, I do see the short term value and have made a nice little sum with almost a negative amount of effort. Haha.

PS. I missed out on the pack today. Asdf to that.

Good for you brother, I am enjoying these easy profits too with super short time horizons. Fully cashed out now but will keep playing for packs. It's not much but I made like $8k last yr just from being there at 10AM at random sneaker drops, less than 1 minute spent a week on that. I never once kept a pair of sneakers for more than a day, it's just free money. This is like that. I did give it a fair shake and did not feel the sense of ownership with this. I'll use the profits to buy more sports cards.

Sure, you can tell yourself that, but you're in here all the time for a reason. People don't typically spend time and energy on things they don't care about.

I can't do the whole store thing anymore. I used to get retail(wax), but it was to open(not resale). So many people there now that I just said to hell with that.

Cool on the shoe thing. Any time there's free money with minimal effort, I'd be all over it too. Retired, bored most of the time . Suppose I could look into the shoe thing, but it seems like all that type of stuff around where I live is always flooded with people chasing the $. I'll stick with waiting in line(online), clicking a few buttons and making a few K for virtually nothing.

PS. I cashed out on the Davis at 3.1k...so not a whole lot more than you. Haha.

You're monitoring it but complaining about it being in the basketball card section. What does it matter really what section it's in. It's one thread..if people don't like seeing on page 1..then skip it

Tyrese Haliburton traded his game worn shoes playing against the Knicks for a Lebron S1 Finals Dunk /750 moment.

it's keeping relevant topics about CARDS off of page 1 that's why.

needless to say, i wish everyone well. I'm not rooting against anybody making money. I'm monitoring for informational purposes but if this ends up on page 2 tomorrow (which it won't) i'm not going to fret over it obviously.

Essentially they’re test running the new packs, and how many moments/minted moments they need to create.

If they see they need 200K base packs for the pre order, they can set an expectation for “okay we need to mint 25-30K for X moments (let’s say 200) to have sufficient enough supply for easily accessible base packs for the market”

This was an excellent choice and well done by top shot

Isn’t this the problem that Project 2020 had? Quoting Geechquest: ”Unlimited Supply” ..... now they are just printing to order. These pre sale order print runs are going to go sky high like the Shore Griffey.

The same reason both products earlier releases were sought after was the scarcity. Sure everyone can get one now, but is the demand going to continue once people realize everyone else has what they also have?

Now I know the packs are limited to per account, so that mitigates some of the risk from flooding the market. Also each pack is different, so that also helps diversify the market holdings for each customer.

CC moments will be minted until the players next moment is minted. Could be 20,000 or could be 2000000. These were never meant to be valuable and will be the moments that anyone can pick up for $1. We currently don’t have any CCs on the market since EVERY moment went LE. That’s why you’re seeing these ridiculous prices. These will never again be minted.

They also put LE moments in the common packs. With the next pack, any rookies first moment will be /4000. Any non-rookies first moment will be /12000. Everything else will be CC /25000+. Meaning they will mint that until that player has his next moment. Then the CC moment turns LE and minting is done.

Hope that makes sense.

The Shore Griffey was obviously mass produced. The Baller Ichiro and Ermsy Trout still had low print runs never to be created again like Series 1 and Series 2 Top Shot moments going LE.

The junk wax era of the 90’s affected the entire market in sports cards. Mass production lowers the value of those earlier rare cards as well as the present day mass produced ones.
They sold 125K packs today and they have 475K packs left. That's with a LE print run capped on series 2. They had base pack releases already for series 2 that were dropping 25K packs at a time prior to the influx. So we are talking when all is said and done 1 million series 2 packs out in circulation. And that's a "limited print run".

Then series 3 will start with CC which can be increased to any number until they decide to make it LE. Those print runs are going to be higher than series 2, so more than 1 million packs for series 3, maybe 2 million?

Which is why I made the comparison earlier with Topps Project 2020 and unlimited supply. The value is sucked out of the product when everyone has what the flippers and investors are selling. As a result the race to the bottom starts and the limited print run early releases get dragged down with it. The hype and interest fizzle out as the masses head for the exits.

That is what I'm worried about, they still haven't opened withdrawals to 99% of the community. Accounts verified for withdrawal at the same time as flooding the market with packs.

Was surprised verification only took about 2 minutes from submitting documents to approval. Very nice process...a lot more streamlined than most crypto sites I've dealt with.

Kudos on that aspect.

Can't wait to withdraw and reinvest on the ADA dip and Link.

I feel like I won today by getting a pack. I know it’s a participation trophy. Doesn’t change the fact that I feel like a f*cking winner.

One person in this thread has confirmed. Hence my above post stating 99% of users have yet to withdraw or be able to.
