Oddly enough, exactly like the years with Donald Trump as president!

I don't think anybody here thinks the dems are saints. Heck, I expect a LOT more of this self righteous blather from the dems until Jan 20th, and probably for several months after. Of course they are going to rub it in. Isn't it all a revolving door? Or is this just passive aggressive bitterness from you??

I don't get the joke...if that's what that was.

It was a serious question. Are we supposed to just forget the constant attacks from both sides and all sit around a campfire singing Kumbaya?

What do you Imagine Mitch and Nancy doing in terms of cooperation or healing?

In 2016, during the transition Trump went out and held rallies in swing states that he won, mocking those that didn't vote for him. Now, he didn't campaign as being a unifier. Biden did. I would suggest he visit states that didn't vote for him as a way of showing he wants to back up his words with actions before even assuming office. Might not be wise or safe given COVID explosion nationwide but just a thought I had.

I agree with this.

I just don't see any of this elevated partisanship going away any time soon. This may be the new norm.

Government has always been partisan, but never in my life has that spilled over into the general public to this extent. We can thank the Donald for that, I'm sure. For good or bad, he put politics on the coffee tables of America in a way I've never seen.

People have never cared so much what party their neighbors, bosses, or friends supported.

Maybe it fades back to pre-Trump levels. Maybe.

sadly, I think that day is over. A new norm has been set. It was always there in the undercurrent, but now it's full blown on the surface for all to see.

Hopefully, that will change soon but don't hold your breath.

My point being that the problem for much of the media was never Donald Trump. It was, and will always be, conservatism. And until that "evil" (conservatism) is eradicated; the division will not stop.

There are facets of all poles that are stubborn and problematic.

I don't believe that conservativism as a whole is the issue. It's simply aspects of it that need to adjust. Same with liberalism.

Today's world (where it's smaller, closer and different cultures/identities are more evident) makes "traditional" values look archaic and threatening to those who live counter to those beliefs (be it in religion, sexuality, gender, marriage, etc).

Both sides need to stop and be able to explain, then hopefully realize we are all Americans and we're better off together than divided.

Being different is much different than being an enemy.

The news did a segment on the celebrations in the streets after Biden won, many not with masks then 5 minutes later talk about how wrong it was for ND students to storm the field after they upset Clemson

Side note: students needed Covid test Wednesday or Thursday or else the ticket badge was deactivated

The most unsettling thing about the dems to me is the fact that they’re even flirting with the idea of socialism. How more people aren’t horrified about this is mind-boggling.

As long as nutbars like AOC exist, you’re not going to see peace anytime soon.

Picked up some seats in the House, have a really good shot at keeping the Senate. Geeze, take the L.
Have you been living under a rock the past 4 years?? Why would Trump and the Republicans just take the "loss", when they had to endure all the bullcrap the Democrats and fake news media laid out on them over the entire term. Yeah, just forget about all that and take the loss. Trump isn't going out without a fight.

I also find it funny how there is this comparison to Trump and McCain's concession speech back in 2008 to Obama. McCain was never President and McCain never had to deal with the Democrats the way Trump did over the past 4 years. So McCain's concession was a hell of a lot easier to make.

4 years of non stop one-sided media BS, all the Russia nonsense etc, and the right is just supposed to sit there and take it? LOL
The left had it out for Trump even before he was in office.

Trump should take the loss and give an endearing concession speech to Biden, right in front of Mt Rushmore with fireworks, etc.

I how the left acts as if they wouldn’t fight to the bitter end too. They’re hypocrites. Only difference is that the media and SNS sites defend the left, deceiving the public.

No doubt. Trump has every right to fight this to the very end.

He sure hasn’t spoken out against the extremists. And I was speaking of the party as a whole. You really think that senile old Joe will be calling the shots?
