My thoughts exactly. I really dont worry about my feedback anymore. If they leave it then they leave. If not oh well.

Anyone else hate seeing that "New message" button light up? I hate getting messages from buyers because 99% of the time it's just a complaint.

I'd concede to that point.

Not really, I do however, dislike "message from buyer in sales record" after the sale has been completed.

More often than not it's just a thank you, which is cool. Too often though it's a demand for an extra concession from you.

I love the, "will you please ship it as soon as possible" or "please pack it safely" or "please have it deliver on a Thursday"

I buy from new sellers often. You are protected no matter what the feedback. Many veteran sellers will create second ids to catch more specials and free listings. I have honestly had more issues with sellers who have thousands of feedback than new sellers.

I agree with the don't ask for feedback you might not like what you get. No feedback is good feedback. Remember for a seller a positive can be as damaging as a neg in Ebays eyes..

How can a positive be damaging in Ebay's eyes?

I would assume he means a postive feedback with dinged DSRs is as bad as a negative.

A positive with a DSR of 3 or less on item description or a 1 on shipping time counts the same as a neg in regards to defects.

Sold this Harris Tweed Jacket for 77.99. Took less than a week largely because of the large size (54L). Paid 9.

So has nothing to do with the feedback though. That's where I was confused by your statement.

The messages I dislike are the ones in the seller notes. As mentioned above.

Last one I received was a month or so ago and about a minute after the auction ended, from the bidder who had most of the bids on it and was the high bidder most of the time.

It was for a Coach purse, shipping was listed at 12.80 for priority med flat rate. Unfortunately, when I went back and checked the listing, I had it as economy shipping for 12.80

"U needs to cancel dis, I ain't payin no 12 dollas fo u to ship a purs dat ways less than 5 oz, dat extorshun an I ain't gonna pay. U can ship it fo 4 in da box wit econumy shippin"

I responded with,(after it was canceled and done with)

"The 12.80 was for priority shipping, not economy, I made an error in the listing. At the bottom of the listing, as with all of my listings, it clearly states, "If you have any questions, please ask", this would have been one of those instances where you probably should have taken a moment to read the description, completely, and asked about the shipping before-hand. I have initiated the cancellation process and added you to my blocked buyers list. Please do not contact many any more after this"

I'd already hit the second chance offer and the purse was bought almost instantly by the second bidder.

The I get the response from the original winner, "I just pay fo it, n u can ship it an I'll sen it bak 2 u sos u can pay agin"

So I reply with, "The transaction has been canceled, good luck with that"

But evidently, you can't flipping block the buyer, or I haven't figured out how to yet. Every time I go to leave feedback, it's still up top waiting for me to click positive or I'll leave feedback later. I initially clicked the report buyer bubble and did that, thinking it would go away, but it hasn't.

Any ideas on how to make that go away?

There was another for a G Scale Train Car(Bachmann Hauler)

"Hi, can you make sure this is delivered on Christmas Eve, it's a gift for my dad?"

It was bought on 12/12 and paid for a couple of days later. Then the message came in.

I replied, "I can get it to the post office to be shipped in plenty of time, but I can't really control when it actually gets there."

Then got, "Well can you hold it until the 23rd and I'll pay to have it overnighted"

Me, "No sir, I really can't do that, I work a full-time job and will be working through Christmas for overtime."

Him, "Well that's just not good, I need it on the 24th, I don't have any place to keep it until then."

I clicked on the print label, just to see where it was going...to a p.o. box.

So I messaged him, "It looks like I'll be shipping it to a p.o. box. And if I ship it today(it was the 14th or 15th) it should be there on the 21st according to the shipping estimator."

Him, "So, I don't need it on the 21st, my parents are here now and it would be impossible for me to sneak it in and hide it"

Me, "Couldn't you just leave it in the p.o. box for a couple of days?"

Him, "duh, thanks"

Edit: By the by, if you run across any of the Bachmann Big Haulers, pay attention, and it'd be worth looking up which model you've found. This one sucked and only sold for a hair over $20 and I paid 15.99 for it. I didn't look it up and I should have. But I've sold 2 in the past that I was into for about 15-20 each and they both sold for over 60 each. I believe the carnival style train cars are just too common.

It does, because if you don't remind them to leave you feedback then they may not ding you at all.

You can archive those transactions so you don't have to look at it.

How do I archive it? I archived the transaction to make it go away after the deal was done. How do I archive the transaction on the feedback page?

This is what I've got that pops up every week when I leave feedback

So, do you find that you do well with most XXL+ sized items? I have started to focus on 3XL and larger items. I picked up two XXXL shirts on Monday and have sold them both already.

I did pick up size 15 D dress shoes, but haven't had very many views on them yet. I guess the market is small, so views will be affected.

Most 2xl and larger stuff I list sells within a week of listing with many selling within 24 hours.

I have definitely had success with the 2xl + sizes. I still typically don't touch the low end (Merona, George, etc.) regardless of size however.

You can still do all right with low end if it's 4X or bigger. Picked up a Gibaud tee that as I guy that wears 3x/4x would have swam in. $25 done. I think 6xl.

One thing here no matter what the buyer says DO NOT OFFER a second chance until the first offer is definitely canceled or a strike given. Otherwise the first buyer can pay and you end up on the hook for delivering both items. That said that buyer was an ass.

You can block buyers ever seller can block up to 5000 buyers., depending on what feedback option you are using it may be there until it just times out after 90 days. If you are seeing in your Ebay transactions page then you should be able to just archive it.

I went by one thrift store I rarely go to for clothes but they had an old playpen I have been looking for for some bunnies I have that i need temp housing for. Got it for 5.00 and then found a bunch of needlepoint sets they had for free. Grabbed all 9 of them most sell for under 5.00 each but 3 of them bring over 25.00 each. Not bad for 5.00 total spent.
