I guess Max Muncy is have a great series individually then, as well.

This was hyped as an ultimate matchup World Series and has been an unfortunate dud, so far. Not what the MLB wants/needs.

The series has been uncompetitive outside of game 1. Need Yankees wins in games 4 and 5 to salvage the series.

His team winning the WS and him being named MVP in a little bit will sweep away any underperformance. He was actually having a pretty good postseason till the World Series.

Collectors/investors need not worry much. If anything, maybe now's the time to get some of his stuff for a tiny discount.

Can't upset the Captain in anyway. Remember, it was listening to Judge that made us trade for him.

My Son and I have been saying that since Game 1. I miss the days when it was a real nice patch on the sleeve.

Series sucks, but not surprising. Yankees overachieved this post season. Still better than not making the playoffs IMO.

Because Rojas sucks. He has consistently waved Torres home to make him the player most thrown at at home plate this season. Got thrown out in a playoff game too.

Because to the Ohtani fan boyz, he's the GOAT. GOATs show up in the World Series though and do big things.

The AL was super weak. Detroit and Cleveland were easy for the Yanks to get past but now they are exposed against a complete team.

And a majority prob think the series is great having the Yankees stomped into the ground.

The people who have to listen to Ohtani investors compare him to Babe Ruth. Babe Ruth hit .326/.470/.744/1.214 in the World Series. Ohtani is at .091/.286/.182/.468. When you don't show for the three most important games of you career and all you do is hit, people do care.

Even Babe Ruth had a bad World Series (1922, went 2-17 with 0 HRs, Yankees lost to the NY Giants).

Gotta love Manfred bragging about the improvement in pace of play this year, while these games are going over 3 hours. #SendMoreCoffee

Yeah, it would be nice if they started an hour earlier.

Did you literally just lift up Acuna's team contribution while shoving Ohtani down?

Sho's 50/50 season didn't contribute to the Dodgers regular season record and success?

The Dodgers being up 3-0 but everyone whining that Ohtani hasn't had an insane series is so funny to me. Always gotta find the negative

Shohei hasn't has a good series obviously, but he's had a couple moments, and you gotta factor in he's probably playing hurt at this point too. He hasn't had the nuclear series that the pumper bois were hoping for, but the hater bois pretending that Ohtani's some complete failure is all the more laughable. Especially when he's been good in the postseason up until this point

I get this series was hyped up to be MVP vs MVP, Shohei vs Judge, and that has been a letdown as Judge has been even more complete cheeks than Shohei - but this has been a fun series. Game 1 with a 10th inning walkoff, you really can't ask for anything more exciting than that. The scores for games 2 and 3 are probably a little closer than they feel like they were, but both just 2 run games with the Yankees making a little late inning noise to add to the drama. And yeah, Shohei/Judge is not the storyline anyone was hoping for, but the 3 other MVP winners + Juan Soto have all been fantastic! Mookie with some good hits and great defensive play, Freddie going absolutely bonkers and homering in each game, Soto 1-dotting it, and Stanton doing exactly what is needed from him along with a moonshot

It's ok to celebrate the fun things, guys

Never said anything negative about Ohtani's season.

Acuna was the front runner for MVP before he got injured in 2021. He 100% earned that ring, just like Ohtani will earn his. Just like Kershaw and Glasgow will earn theirs.

The much anticipated "MVP vs MVP" matchup has been a big nothing burger, in terms of positive outcomes. Judge's performance has been big in terms of why the team is down 3-0 in the series.

I'll ask again, if the Dodgers sweep and Pages doesn't play, is he a WS champion? He will have participated as much as Acuna did in 2021.

The WS games are automatically longer cuz the commercial breaks are longer. Feels that way to me at least.

Y’all pondering Rings for players not on the WS roster must’ve missed the post in this thread about Taylor Trammel - he was a guaranteed Ring bearer before the Series even started, regardless of who wins.

No, the issue is the Ohtani investors can't admit the truth, that Ohtani has choked. Not one Judge investor in this thread making excuses for Judge's choke job.

What would happen if more people watched a World Series game in Japan than in the USA? Oh wait, that already happened.
