This is brutal. The worst the Pats have played all year so far (except for Miami). Plenty of time but they need to get head out of their a$$es

I think that was a rule change within the past couple of years. In previous years, they would never review a potential fumble (or backwards lateral) if the whistle had blown. Now they can rule that the other team would have recovered and award them the ball.

Yeah but that wouldnt qualify as hillman more likely recovers that if they hadnt instantly blown it dead.

Well, I guess it's more of a judgement call now. Hillman certainly didn't do them any favors by not even heading in that direction after the ball went past him, but the whistle did blow pretty quickly.
