Amazing year of pitching for Shohei - a little bit more run support, two awful starts, it would be really interesting to see where his numbers were.
Guys a stud, three more days until I finally get to see him live and up close! |

Maybe Ohtani pitches the final game of the season in Seattle. If not he still had an amazing season and 9 wins or 10 wins he's still the MVP. |

Makes you want to cry that Ohtani and Trout elected to join/remain with this garbage franchise.

Juan Soto on the Nationals Bryce Harper on the phillies And Ohtani on the angels. I will give the angels next year if Rendon and Trout are healthy, then if they still miss the playoffs they are a lost cause. |

Pads and Phillies are borderline contenders (Pads should be in the playoffs) and Soto has a ring already. The Angels finish 20 GB of the division lead every year. Though living in OC with a giant pile of money probably beats living in 99.9% of the rest of the country.

Very impressive. This is the first outing of his I’ve seen in a while. I LOVE seeing his evolution as a pitcher this year. The stat displayed at the beginning of the game was awesome. 30+ walks in his first 60innings. 9 walks in his last 60 innings. He doesn’t get anywhere near enough credit for progressing the way he has on the mound in a relatively short time span while also performing as one of the better hitters in the league. Also, I have read a number of posts from fans and trolls in a couple threads about Ohtani getting fatigued in the 2nd half. They claim that this fatigue serves as evidence that he can’t continue playing as a two way player in the years to come. After watching him on the mound today I have to ask... what fatigue?!?! I don’t know about you guys, but that was not a sore and tired pitcher I saw on the mound today. With the two highest pitch counts of his career coming in the last few weeks, I don’t think fatigue is having the impact people are claiming. Its effect would be more evident and appear earlier in his pitching performance than hitting. The velocity, control and movement on his pitches would all suffer. Seems to me that his 2nd half slump at the plate is just that... a slump. Or, he’s not as good of a hitter as his 1st half stats imply. I think it’s a combination of the two. I see a correlation between a pitcher showing off his velocity and “stuff” at the expense of efficiency, and a hitter swinging for the fences at almost every pitch. As previously mentioned, he has made big strides this year in evolving from thrower to pitcher. Here’s hoping he can do the same at the plate and evolve from swinger to complete hitter. I like to think this guy is still capable of even more than he’s already shown us. I’m not gonna waste my breath trying to tell him he can’t do something. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
