My eggs are coming from Belding, Mich. I got a Farcetch’d yesterday from my brother who is 20 miles away.

Trying to spread the love and get out as much as I can guys!

Edit: Also, this is one of my friends code: 6973 9865 4316 He’s a casual player working toward his Mew progress. He’s also from Michigan. If you have the time send him an add. I think my friends (21) are about 1/3rd from Michigan and 2/3 from you guys. Until I posted my code I was hatching the same Mons over and over. I’ve gotten so many new ones from the community here. It’s awesome but I don’t feel overwhelmed. I’m not a hardcore player but if I can’t run around town for an hour a day I at least try to spin stops and spread gifts.

So far I've hatched(in addition to regular Alolans):
3 Tangela
2 Porygon
1 Tauros
4 Farfetch'd
2 Mr Mime
3 Kang

Best is a 91 Mime, and 89 Kang.

We also found a 100% Lapras while doing raids on Saturday, so that was kinda cool. One of my good friends, who I play with regularly(he took a while off from playing) just finished his Celibi research the other day and got a 100%(along with another friend of ours in our group), and yesterday he hatched a 100% Kang. also found 2 Shiny Karp since the event started. He's on an incredible run.

I've had no luck with Shinys this event, and they seem rare too. All I've gotten is a 89% Articuno since is started, and no shiny wild catches.

I'm having a really hard time staying motivated to play this game. I'm 1.5 million XP away from 40, and have 0 interest at all in grinding. The regional hatches are cool, but I have no interest in buying incubators for this.

This game desperately needs Gen 4, or some sort of update. The battle system is still horrible. tap, tap, tap, tap, tap. You don't even need to battle. You can literally plug the info into pokebattler and it will tell you if you'd win or not. Jurrassic World Alive is an example of a game that got the battle system right. Battles take thought, and strategy.

Hoping something good is coming soon, because I've worn out and switched 95% of my gameplay to Jurrassic World Alive.

I'm about the same from 40 and also have no interest in grinding. I'll get there when i get there =) I'm still motivated to play a little each day, but I'm also having trouble finding even that little but of time. Plus the weather has been terrible here.

I’m at Disney world and just caught up with my gifts.

Highlight of the trip thus far is a 100 growlithe. Evolved to arcanine already. Only downside is being level 7. Good thing I saved up some dust because I’m trying to only feed my 90+.

Walked Feebas to get my 91 Milotic. Also finished a 7 day streak which landed me a 96 Entei. I’m ready to evolve the Kantos I’m missing but I’m being patient for good IVs. I have enough for Gengar (200+ at this point) I’m not worried so much about completing my PokeDex as I am finding good fighters. That’s the kind of player I am. Which makes sense that I have no luck at all finding shinies yet the buddy I mentioned in my last post caught a 98 shiny Chikorita.

I have a stop to spin right from the room so look forward to Mickey Obilisk. Still catching up with the gifts but I’m pretty much squared away and just need to keep spinning it to replenish my gifts

As a new player, and hearing the horror stories, Im glad I started a month and a half ago. (august 12).

Currently Im a level 32 with 148/151 gen 1 (missing only starmie (walking staryu), Marrowak (wasn't able to find anyone to raid the level 4 raids with me and cubone is rare round these parts), and Arbok (27/50 candies) and 331/377 of the pokemon in total.

In legendaries, I have the 3 birds (missed on Ho Oh twice, but have one I can trade for later), the regi, Raikou, Entei, 3 mewtwos regular, 1 mewtwo EX.

I completed Mew and Celebi in about a month.

I currently have shinies of Charmander and Charizard, Zapdos, Moltres, 8 Chikoritas, Bayleef, Meganium, Houndoom, 2 Wingull, 3 Pelipper, Aggron, Wailmer, Swablu and Altaria.

I've been outside more in the past month and a half than the previous 2.5 years living in NE combined.

Overall, Im thrilled with this game and my son and I discuss it often. My GF and I have a great time together with it too.

Just wanted to give my account of the game for others to compare to a new player coming in and spending 2-3 hours playing a day. (some days a bit more.)

I would be a max'd 40 if I didnt stop playing for a year in a half... its huge where I am at in Maryland.... I am on discord with folks... sometimes its consuming and I get the jokes.. you nerd LOL.....

I can help folks that may need some rares if I have extras....

The recent events have really helped new players catch up quickly. Kudos to Niantic for keeping new players happy/engaged.

Now give us Gen 4 already!

Gengar is a bit polarizing but I'm in the "power up a few good ones" camp.

Best bet is quests. The make 3 great throws quest is pretty common. I've gotten a perfect, a 98%, 2x 96% and probably a dozen or so 91/93. I'm waiting for a potential event to evolve any of them in the case they bring shadow claw back for a limited time. I already have a handful of boosted gastley that I evolved to gengar so no urgent need for me.

I haven't had time to grind since summer and now I'm sitting here with new 100% mon I've caught or hatched (100% Kangaskhan!) and no dust.

Boo hoo. I know. I was really hoping the last community day was going to be triple dust instead of XP.

Get out there and start running! No shame not being able to go out everyday. Left Michigan and 65 degrees and ran right into Florida and 90+. I went out this morning at 8am and that was the only time I could do it comfortably.

It's almost nice running season here in Tempe. Can't wait for next week and highs only in the 90s!

Florida heat is very different from Arizona heat. Once you spend a couple years in Florida, the desert is nice!

you could hit lvl 40 just on friendships if you really wanted to. I'm at 22 best friends so far and at 35 by the end of the weekend. I have a ton of depth in my power ups but i can't say i've maxed maybe more than 20 mons. I did catch my 2nd perfect mon, a rhyhorn at my house after almost 2 months now of living there (first was a roselia). Pretty stoked about that.... and i did max it out a few minutes later lol getting ready for Rhyperior.

my dust only stays around 1 mil to 1.5 mil normally as i spend it on a normal basis. I will probably TRY to stock up 2.5 mil for gen 4 though.

you should delete those friends you just added and then re-add them.. it'll count and you won't lose progress.

Just need Kanghaskhan to finish up the first gen. If I get all those that will be satisfactory for me for this game. XP is crazy now with friendship. It jumps so much when you level up and use a lucky egg. I would be shocked if they didnt raise the level cap

Kinda shocked to hear you only have 2 perfects. I've got two perfect ghastly as of Thursday. I have my share of useless perfects but I have been pretty lucky with legendaries. Still pissed about the perfect lugia that got away.

It might have been his 2nd perfect at his house, not in total.

I hatched a 100% Alohan Geodude the other day. Maxed it out right after.

Just a hair under 70M XP now. and closing in on 70,000 catches

11 Best friends so far.

Caught a Shiny Growlithe on Friday night. first shiny in 2 events.

Just had a Spinda encounter and caught a 100%

Just battled Deoxys, and he's a joke. mine was a 91% but aside form looking cool, he is a waste. My friends 2 manned him, and with network errors, still managed to have nearly 70 seconds left.

Hope everyone gets some time to get some shiny Drowzee. Hopefully some Unown pop up during this event as well.

My friends went to NYC on a whim yesterday. One of my buddies is coming back with 120 Unown to trade haha


Works out well for me becasue I still need a Y and a M.

I got another shiny Makuhita yesterday randomly. Literally right after I clicked the Grimer I went for. I really wish it was that one instead!
