You can always make another child. You cannot make another 1/1 Autograph Superfractor until printers and AI get better.

My wife years ago placed a freshly baked warm brownie, on a paper towel, onto our coffee table for me to eat. I was organizing some cards on the table, and she just happened to place the brownie right on top of a raw baseball card. I didn't notice until minutes later, after the brownie wetness had bled through the paper towel and onto the card. Thankfully, it was just a Jeff Blauser Fleer rookie card.

To this day, if I get a really cool card in and show her, she says "that'd make a great brownie plate!".

True collectors use their cards as food plates.

It should be renamed the Dallas "BUYING 85-90%" Show.

Completely jam-packed and nearly impossible to maneuver around. #firehazard

If a dealer had 3 display cases on the table, one had a guy & his case plopped down on it, going thru all his cards he's trying to sell to them. The 2nd case had the dealer's take-out lunch container on it while he ate, with 0% attempt made to not cover half the cards with the top half of the styrofoam lid. The 3rd case was intake, where all the cards they had bought get put, usually 10% full. Only takes a moment to to scan the 9 cards you can see & move on.

I'm being cynical and funny, but that's really what that show seems to be - just a blood drive where all the donors sit down at an open chair to unload their slabs.

Went to a show in northern California. It was packed, parking lot full, and at times you couldn't walk though the aisles. This is a problem at several shows ive been to- not enough space for the customers to even go down aisles. I'd say it was 50/50 pokemon/sports. A few I pickups made it worth my time. Bill Cartwright was there signing his book and would sign your cards for free.

The poor guy in the blue shirt in the top left picture is trying to squeeze through but I think he's stuck.

It's only a matter of time before the maker of Wegovy sponsors the National.

Fortunately, the tight spaces and surrounding thicc bodies prevented this from happening!

I don’t think it could happen in there even if you tried!

I haven’t been to a show in a long time and have never brought stuff to sell, but I was planning to bring a bunch of graded Devers cards to sell at a Bay Area show next weekend.

I really dont want to lug my big Apache case around all day. Any recommendations on toting around 20-30 slabs in a way that’s convenient and non-intrusive for dealers? Trying not to be a peli-boi opening up on top of dealers’ display cases…

I have a slab binder that works great, plus people always seem to get a kick out of it and it's much easier to look through than a case

I have a few slim Slab boxes similar to these which are pretty convenient for storage and transport:

I could pretty much smell the first picture you posted, and it was not pleasant.

Was at local show Sunday
Lots of people buying low end stuff
No wax

Saw Layton open 5 case dynasty break for 45000 dollars

Could not of been 10 k in cards

Also was at dicks and target yesterday. There had to be 200 blasters sitting

No clue how gambling keeps going. Such awful value

And for first time in 5 years. I feel that nobody wants most retail boxes

Retail has hit that critical point where production is so high and the price is so high that the value of anything you pull out of retail has disappeared. Anything that is decent is impossible to pull and if you’ve pulled it, you’ve already spent too much money doing so.

Dynasty has also reached the point of living up to its name - die-nasty.

Degenerate gamblers are paying close to $1200 for the Ohtani player spot in a single 5 box case break. If the odds for any Ohtani are in the range of 1 in 30 cases, you’re spending $36,000 just to get one.

Going ten straight cases without hitting an Ohtani, which is very common, you’re out $12,000 with nothing to sho for it.

Don’t tell me it’s not degenerate gambling.
