Yeah might be time to add at least 1 auto of Vlad from last year. He's the only big rookie, well suppose Keston as well, that I don't have any rookie auto of. What's crazy is he was who I was chasing rookies and autos of when I ripped a ton of Series 2. Got 7 NNO but no auto. Crazy was a guy that bought a few jumbo boxes either before or after me hit 2. Right before I got to the LCS that release day someone hit a Tatis 35th auto. Mine were duds. I came back later to rip his last jumbo case and hit the a Tatis 35th auto.

Just like that he's back up to a modest 758 OPS. Just goes to show you how small a sample size we are going based off of.

I'm one of his biggest supporters because yes, I am heavily invested, but also like his attitude, lineage, and really would like to see him mash.

Its a messed up, short season. I would love to see him get in better shape. Not many fat folks have tremendous careers. Well Babe Ruth and a few others...lol

He’s not really as fat as people are making him out to be. I think people are thrown off by the large rump. Which is an asset. So to speak...

Also, he just hit another HR.

Honestly, the first time I saw him play this year.. He was at first, and the first thing that came to my mind is that he looked fatter and much sloppier.

LOL!

The sad part is that I guarantee he could beat 99.9% of BO members in a foot race.

I still remember the John Kruk interview ""I ain't an athlete, lady. I'm a ballplayer." No need for Vlad to be in shape.

1-4 tonight with a HR. However, one of those outs was a line drive with an exit velocity of 100.8 and an xBA of .560 and another of these outs was a line drive with an exit velocity of 95.8 and an xBA of .280.

He's hitting the ball hard and is starting to get better launch angles. He's just not hitting it where they ain't right now

Kid hasn't even played 162 Major League games and people are already calling him a bust.

Bat speed is king. He is no less talented than when we was ripping up AAA not too long ago. In time he will gain both national/int'l and hobby value in a big way.

Vlad is the zig...when other's zag. He's reached the "peak prices" after his debut and now people are moving on. Prices come down. If he goes on a HR tear next season and then firmly establishes himself as a power/high average hitter, they''ll get back to peak prices.

Hard to believe every prospect evaluator had this guy ahead of Soto, Acuna and Tatis just a couple years ago. He’s so far below that level of player right now. Been a huge disappointment (and yes I know he ran into one tonight.)
