So I opened 8 (yes I’m a psychopath lol)… 2 were no RC, 2 in the middle, and 4 were all RCs for what it’s worth

Mix of MC, BO, and eBay boxes FWIW. Serial number stickers on boxes didn’t matter. But I guess I just got lucky.

Got a bunch of rookies. Green Soto. Green Vlad. Wander rookie base and a lot of color including some rookie color which I will go through tomorrow

Almost sold this box on eBay but decided to rip it. Whew on that decision

What do you guys suggest. In good shape but could go either 9 or 10 at PSA for my Wander auto gold /20

I am going to sell it

??Worth spending $200 on PSA grading or better to sell raw knowing it may not get a 10 but a 9??

I would almost want to get it graded just to avoid any shenanigans with returns saying it wasn't a certain condition but thats just me. I think it is suck a low PR the difference between a 9 and 10 probably isnt too severe

I haven’t checked sold price, but guessing it was high.

IMO I’d be shocked if these were selling for more than the 1987 red #/25 autos by end of season. Maybe as little as 1/3-1/2 the price, in fact. And the ‘87 red as a redemption have been selling for ~$2-2.5k.

I don't see how grading wouldn't cost you one of the premium tiers ($1000+) based on the sale of the previous Wander auto. My advice: please don't value your card based on the level of service you want to pay for. Too many stories on either side...

Updated collation table, n=28, .3% of the release

For me, I feel like I've seen enough evidence that while these situations with the base cards/RC's have occurred, it doesn't seem to me like a systemic breakdown of collation with this release.

I expect the largest piece of the pie to fall in that new category we started hearing from when people opened them: a blend of RC and more random distribution of the cards themselves. Some common advice points in the hobby remain, which I won't rehash here. Approximately half of the boxes had some rookies and a Wander (RC) which is bound to happen based on random distribution.

The troubling issue of zero RC in a box is notable, but it's also an element that will factor in everyone's decision to chase parallels/autos/Wander. Perhaps that's what's driving up prices a little bit. But, like anything, we don't have a large enough sample size to do any sort of meaningful inference.

A lot of people are just now learning about it. It takes a bit sometime for newer product lines to take off as people have to be aware of it.
