I saw the Pels playing the Lakers a week ago. I was up in the bleachers. I was trying to find Zion but couldn't. My girlfriend pointed out a big dude behind the Pels bench and I was like, nah, he's too skinny to be Zion.

Then he got up. It was Zion and he looked like the biggest dude in the building. I still thought he was too skinny to be him.

Anyway, I blame you ninja.

I say play him for 3 minute spurts at the end of quarters this friday. Or at the end if it's a blowout (either way). At least get a baseline.

I'm pretty sure he could shoot 50% in his sleep. Even if it's a food coma.

The Pelicans won’t have Zion Williamson available if they advance to Friday’s play-in game or even a first-round series against the Suns, the team told Cassidy Hubbarth of ESPN (hat tip to Real GM).

Williamson hasn’t been ruled out for the season, but a Pelicans spokesperson informed Hubbarth that “a return to play is not imminent.”

Williamson, who hasn’t played since having offseason surgery on a fracture in his right foot, raised some eyebrows with a 360 dunk during warm-ups before tonight’s game (video link). Although he looked as explosive as ever, the Pelicans don’t believe he’s ready for game action.

The No. 1 pick in the 2019 draft has advanced to the point in rehab where he can participate in controlled scrimmages with teammates and assistant coaches. There has been hope among Pelicans fans that he could return to boost the team’s playoff chances, but tonight’s report makes that seem unlikely unless New Orleans can somehow win a series or two.

If a player has not played a single minute of the regular season, I struggle to understand why a team that has no realistic chance of winning a Championship, would consider risking bringing him on during the playoffs.

Walking into playoff level competition, without any game-time under your belt for a year, is just a recipe for disaster no matter who you are.

Where is the upside?

This. I don't really see any reason to play him other than appeasing the media and fans for some quick cameos. I saw the dunk, it looked good. He still looks fat. Let him get a full off season of conditioning and rehab and that go full bore next year. That is contract year (barring extension) so you want him to have full healthy season to evaluate whether to extend or trade.

He's either wanting to play and pelicans staff isnt allowing it. So the dunks are a #@#@#@#@ you.

Or he wants to be traded and he's saying look how healthy I am.

It's sad that Knicks fans think they have a chance to get him to combine with Reddish and Barrett. The Knicks have absolutely nothing to offer the Pelicans. Almost every other team in the league could put together a better offer then NY.
