I did that with a LOT of Lukas during his rookie season

In the offseason, Luka Prizm blue gems were in the $1000-$1200 range. Multiple of them. Passed so many times. Wish I had just pulled the trigger on one of them.

I remember during his rookie season wanting a blue soooo bad but I was like do I realllly want to spend THIS much (which relatively speaking today isn't much) on a rookie with not much NBA experience? So I passed and passed lol...now I do have some great Luka's that I still got at great prices, but my biggest regret is not pulling the trigger and cards like his Next Day Auto, Blue Prizm etc. They were right there for the taking!! And I would chicken out every time

No regrets on the blues I had at one point 10 total now down to just 4 my only regret is not picking up a mojo and white sparkle and also selling 40x PSA 10 prizm base for $70each smh I would have around 100 total had I not done that

10 Blues!

Did you notice that most/all of them had a printing error/spot on the right border by his knee?

Wondering if PSA takes this into account when grading...

A blue Phoenix /99 sold last night for $500. So bummed I missed it and so bummed I didn’t get one 6 months ago. I have been trying to get all of the Chronicles blue parallels and I think that was my best last opportunity to not break the bank. If anyone has one they are wanting to move please pm me.

Yah most of mine had that printing spot but if its faint enough it will gem in my experiences

I remember when these first started being noticed, I went after the crusade more aggressively. The Phoenix was nice, but history said crusade. Got one of those and it is BGS 9.5 now, but wish I had gotten a Phoenix also.

After 10% ebay bucks my PSA 10 Luka blue Prizm /199 cost me a shade over 800$ I believe

People don’t realize how hard a 10 is for some of these sets with panini’s quality control. Especially buying raw cards that have been looked through and deemed not for grading already.

PSA 9’s are excellent cards and although they might not get the 700-800 a gem will, with time they are great investments.

I’ve been buying PSA 9’s on a lot of stuff. 9’s will hold long term value and you know what you are getting vs. raw, especially on eBay. 9 is a smart buy on mid to high end stuff all day every day. They might not go atomic, but they are still worthy investments.

I'm still fighting with my brain to accept 9's. It makes so much sense what you're saying. And even now some raw are selling for higher then 9s because people thing its going to gem when they buy and grade. I could buy a holo RR and a Prizm Silver in raw or as a 9 for the price of one PSA 10 Silver. Or even 3 courtside base for the price of one psa 10 silver. Its craziness.

From a PC standpoint, best just to buy 9s.

For investments, I’ll only touch 9s on condition sensitive issues or limited issues. No point in buying a Prizm base 9 when 10s are so readily available.

I got mine for like $150-175 back in early fall. There were plenty available around that range. Wish I had bought them all.
