Makes zero sense to keep both
Just don't think he has any value. Mediocre bat and no defensive value, no positional versatility. Probably best to just move for nothing if someone will take as a good gesture to him or DFA him. Hoskins needs to play.

Well Bryant is great, obviously.

Almora and Baez are studs with the glove, but nothing special with the bat. They're easily replaceable.

Russell isn't anything special either.

Schwarber is a DH in the National League who can't play defense and doesn't hit well enough to make up for it.

Edwards is solid, but again, it's not like he's in the upper echelon of top tier relievers.

I do like Contreras though, especially if he sticks at catcher.

I agree with Homerun on pretty much all these as well.

I also heard on the Radio Cubs for Gray would be Almora/Caratini + 2 prospects.

If true, I do this in a heartbeat if I'm the cubs.

He's bashing Cubs players so I just reminded him what his super awesome, can't miss, #1 prospect is doing since his call up.

I love how everyone thinks of these players as 5 year vets. Most of these guys were projected to just now being MLB ready....Look at Rizzo when he joined the Cubs (couldn't hit lefties to save his life) to what he is now.

I honestly have not kept up with any of the trade stuff recently, work and school have been brutal. I saw we got Reed, which hopefully will help.

Also saw Gray might be going to the yankees

I think a Gray deal falls apart honestly.

Of course you do, you're a Yankees fan! Everyone thinks their teams farm system is made of gold and should only have to give up minimal to get a max return lol.

Obviously it wouldn't be just him, but he wouldn't be a bad centerpiece for a trade. Him and some other mid tier prospects wouldn't be too bad of a return. Guys like Acevedo, Florial, Andujar aren't bad guys to go in a deal.

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for Torres or Frazier if you're the A's. Gray is a solid pitcher with a few years left of control. Mid level prospects shouldn't get the deal done

Player AJ (Post AS Game):

Probably ought to just trade them for each other straight up eh?

Or better yet, turn Joseph into Brock Stassi and let him sit on the bench while Hoskins starts if we can't trade him.

We're under no obligation to give him at bats.
