ok serious question: how can there be redemptions for buyback autos? is it because they hadn't received the buyback itself before packing the product?

Probably for the same reason there are buybacks in any product - the autograph subject didn't return the autographed cards in time for them to be inserted into the product.

Presumably for these as described by Brent: Mini buyback cards that are autographed are framed /10 and contain better names (like David Wright, Robinson Cano, etc) are 1:6248
but apparently as few as 15 total names on checklist (combining hobby & retail), maybe 20 names

Honestly can't see it being too much higher than Vince Gilligan from 2014 ... I will guess 400.

Unfortunately for the seller, starting it at 99 cents and letting it ride assures him that he will get the lowest price that someone is willing to pay for it. High buy it now with offers is the way to go on a card like this.

and Paul is 10 times more popular with collectors out there than Gilligan

Got really busy at the shop today but my one case I opened for the store was amazing.

Two rip cards(one double), two silks, one printing plate double auto relic book card. Also hit an autos of Aaron Paul, Jorge Soler, Betances, Scheer, Hunter,

Rough case, which was made worse by ripping my 2nd rip of the night.

Carp book is nice. Benoit is glossy 1/1, encarnacion plate. Ichiro red, trout buyback....not much to chat about after that.

I got 5 Topps direct cases coming today. We'll see what they provide. Last year and 2012 were incredible. 2013 was above average but not quite as loaded.

Both of mine were direct first was loaded, second not so much.

Some early observations are showing the the base cards /10 and mini buyback a have some life on the secondary market.
