Anyone else thinks the Pelicans are gonna be right in the thick of things if Z, CJ and BI can each play like at least 65 games.

From what we see last year and with the addition of an ultra efficient 27ppg back in the lineup + the whole gang with a full training camp, I really can't see much weaknesses when healthy.

WCF is a possibility.

Z's going to have to take a massive leap defensively for this team to be a true contender. Good thing is that his current defense is so selectively atrocious that his room for improvement is vast.

Pels have definitely made some tremendously good decisions the past 2 years in terms of righting their wrongs. Dropped deadweight in Bledsoe and a bad fit with Adams and parlayed it into a starting five that will be a nightmare matchup defensively for most teams any given night.

The real test is how all the new pieces will fit. A lot has changed since the last time BBW suited up. They almost have too many scorers now, especially with a 5 averaging a 'tame' 18 that can pop out and drain the 3 at will. It's a good problem to have. I'm intrigued to see how it all plays out.

I think Zion's scoring numbers may plateau a bit. Way too many scorers on that roster, 3 of which can drop 30+ any given night.

But I think his peripherals and efficiency are going to be otherworldly.

Only mortal capable of breaking the moneyball algorithm.

What are even the nice cards of his to go after at the moment?

A One and One RC /99 was probably the buy of the offseason a couple of months back that I missed.

Of course you can grab a Prizm Silver easily. Boring.

I like his Optic Holo in a PSA 9 around $200.

The Spectra Parallels are nice.

A Mosaic Genesis would be great but they aren't exactly cheap.

What's the buy sub $1k?

As a One and One holder, I still think that's his best "regular" RC and also the best looking by a mile. I don't know if it'll ever go parabolic but it has the ingredients ready.

It's proven to be pretty popular with some staying power two releases in. Having Downtown and the Timeless Moments sets have helped make it a mainstay already.

I can see him playing 20 games and then it is over again. In best case he will have 5 or 6 very good season and then he is done. Blake Griffin 2.0.

Even if you're not a believer in Zion long-term, now is still a good time to buy if you want to flip. He's going to be in highlights this season and drive up interest from where it is now.
