So Canada was terrible.

Yes, I got a bunch of Tropius(about 50)

My friends got 17 and 21 shiny's each.

I got 4.

Pikachu(no not even a hat)
Ponyta
Gastly
Yanma

I legit stopped playing for the last hour and a half because I was so disgusted.

Did anyone notice the spawn point changes this week? Pokémon are appearing in different spots than before.

Seems as though Niantic changed their algorithm to favor populated areas, with lots of cellular activity, and parks. Go hub has a nice article on it.

Yes I noticed this. I live in a rural area, and I play pokemon go often I my house (no pokemon used to spawn there). Sometimes I just open the app and use incense, sometimes I am cleaning up my pokemon, sometimes I am giving gifts etc... last night there were like 5-6 pokemon spawning at my house. Some were pretty decent too. Larvitar, Shieldon so far. So not super common.

It actually feels like they nerfed the spawns. I saw some people saying that they removed roughly 1/3 of the spawn sites. Is this true?

They did adjust spawns.

Some gains, but a lot of subtractions. Places that normally didn't see anything now get some.

HOWEVER situations like this now occur:

We have 2 spots in my city where we play that were HUGE spawn points., especially during community day. Talking anywhere from 15-20 at a clip. In fact a lot of players on community just camp out there, lure the stops, and just keep catching what pops up. Drove past there yesterday. one place had 3, and the other 4(and that was with 2 nearby stops.

So while it might be exciting to see spawns in new areas, this as a whole, I think was a major downgrade.

My neighborhood was a great spawning place and was even better for community day. I've noticed far less spawns since the change so I'll have to find somewhere new to play for community day it's looking like.

From what I am reading, (and seeing) they helped out us rural players which I like. I am not sure I get the point of nerfing spawns in the city however. I sort of get it in regards to 'real life', aka pokemon wouldn't actually be flocking to the city like animals. But does that help the game and Niantic?

I read an article that said like November 2nd event date. 11-7 locally.

They assume reward will be all 3 Regi- Legendaries and finish with REgigigigas.

Also will show as a Special research completion

And probably a medal as well.

But nothing official yet. Sounds like expect it to be released monday or tuesday after the community day.

Looks like the new Ex raid gyms are released. Check your area for new Ex Raid Gyms. My town went from 1 Ex raid gym to 7!!!

Big Halloween event coming! I don't know what it is, but Pokémon Go Halloween are the best events.

It was the OG "event" in the game back in it's first year, and each year they manage to go bigger.

Please explain to me why I am all of the sudden getting silhouettes of pokemon I already have. I have looked online and people keep saying its the shadow pokemon variants, but that is definitely not the case, as I have already traveled to get a couple and they were no different that the pokemon I had. I think this is another glitch?

Thats exactly it. It happened once before a few weeks ago when they added things to the code. At that time it was Turtwig.

This time it looks like it is for Seedot, Weedle, Mareep, and Cacnea. While annoying it should resolve when we catch one of them again before they apply an actual fix.

Orrrrrrrrr, you just suck and you can no longer live the lie of catching that elusive weedle. Be a better trainer!

It's a glitch from the new pokemon added to team rocket. Only way to make it clear is to catch them apparently.

I did catch a Cacnea the other day that was silhouetted on my map. The only difference between the ones i had and this one was the sex. So not sure if that makes a difference. Was only difference I saw when comparing.
