Buyer beware. There is color added all over on the front to remove snow in the background of the card. And, as is customary for Moser's cards, it has a PWCC eye appeal sticker, although it was not initially sold with one after the recoloring.

PSA Certification number 51020072
1951 Parkhurst Maurice Richard #4 This trimmed card is a current Ebay listing by PWCC. A friend of Blowout tipped it our way. The card was purchased anonymously through Robert Edwards Auctions in 2017. The card has been stickered by Brent Huigens (for what it's worth). It looks like the Bird was taken down, and the Richard (already) as well, nicely done.

The Maurice Richard likely isn't a Moser trim due to Moser's reluctance at trimming top and bottom edges.
Nice work by all getting PWCC to take these down.

Agreed, nice work fellas but sad that at this point, we are still playing catch me if ya can. Means there are plenty more bad cards being listed daily that should also be taken down.

The auction houses should be making some sort of contribution for BODA’s work. Perhaps a charitable contribution.

"PSA is aware of recent hobby message board activity and is conducting its own investigation into the matter.
We take consumer protection seriously, as evidenced by the thousands of altered and counterfeit cards that we reject each year, our on-going investments in grading and holder technology, and long track record of working with law enforcement to eliminate fraud from the hobby. PSA processes more than two million cards each year and will not let isolated acts from a few dishonest actors deter consumer confidence in our brand. We will act against anyone who violates PSA’s Terms & Conditions by knowingly submitting altered cards for authentication and grading. While our actions will be conducted privately, please know that the impact will be felt by those attempting to mislead collectors for personal profit. As with any financial transaction, if you are unsatisfied with your purchase, contact the seller to initiate a refund request. If the seller is unknown, you may send the card to PSA for review under our Financial Guarantee of Grade and Authenticity. PSA is well-versed in combating fraud and we have addressed these issues in a professional and direct way for nearly thirty years. After all these years, our hobby is stronger than ever. Rest assured that PSA will not let the actions of a few have any lingering impact on the hobby or the PSA brand." June 4, 2019 3:11PM https://forums.collectors.com/discus...message-boards How's that investigation going?

One of the latest card trimmers to be discovered is a prolific and active submitter to PSA of altered cards:
https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1455615 Gregory Alan Libersher - Estero, Florida - Ebay ID: glibersher is a CARD TRIMMER 57 year old Greg Libersher, from Estero, Florida (near Naples) has been buying and selling on Ebay since February 2001. The vast majority of his Ebay purchases are of raw cards with the bulk of the purchases being from Greg Morris Cards. He is a high volume PSA card submitter with many purchases just in the past few months. He likely has bulk subs currently waiting to be graded at PSA due to PSA's immense backlog. All cards appear to have been graded by PSA. Both his Ebay and VCP masked buying ID is g***r I have been unable to find any photos of Libersher. He is a golf pro at Naples Heritage Golf & Country Club in Naples, Florida. Since the PSA Graders don't have rulers, perhaps they should just place the card in the holder to check out the amount of air space. The grader and the guy who places the card in the slab should be one and the same.
At least that could be a potential solution, since they can't seem to figure this grading thing out. It sure might've helped with that ridiculously short Marin card.

When these cards are outed does anyone inform the people on the Set Registry who the card belongs to or is that way too time consuming?

The real question is what is done with these PSA numbers in their database. If they arent striken or asterisk doesn't that suggest complicity on PSA's part? Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk

Yes, it is interesting. If PSA doesn’t remove these many altered examples in their database despite the overwhelming evidence, it cements the fact that PSA is only selling their labels. The encased card doesn’t mean anything. The same then goes for people who continue to pay meaningful premiums for PSA’s slabs - that they’re mostly flipping or collecting PSA’s labels and nothing else.

I'm going to just keep buying correctly labeled PSA - Altered slabbed cards at extremely low prices.
These high grade missed altered cards are to expensive for my taste. Lol. |
