Man I've been picking up lower-end inserts (if you can call them that) of Jordan since after reading one of these threads. It rekindled a bit of my childhood. My list would look a LOT like yours...in fact I've actually purchased 3 of the cards you have pictured. So in short, I love your list! I don't really keep up with basketball so I wouldn't know the difference between a $15 insert and a $1,000 one...I mainly just go by how cool the card looks to me!

As far as inserts go, I'll pick a couple but also a few I feel are overlooked, but I love them. I don't know if you're going to differentiate between a parallel and a pure insert though, which some people care about.

old standard

grand finale

yes, mine is green but I love it

This is one card I feel doesn't get much love. I don't care too much about grades, but I struggled to find a good copy of this as all the ones I found had the foil peeling or missing from the front. As you can see, even mine isn't perfect even though it's graded highly.

and I would say this was one of the cards I felt I just had to track down

Right on Hychang on the 96-97 Court Masters!

Ive always said that card is never mentioned and should get WAYYYY more love

Its a WAY better looking card than the 97-98 which seems to get all of the love which I will never understand. 96-97 Ultra contains some of the best MJ cards of that year with the Platinum Medallion, Court Masters, Starring Role, & Scoring Kings Plus.

Its my favorite acetate card of MJ with the Slick Silver in 2nd Place

Awesome cards brother

And that's about the nicest copy you'll ever see. I haven't looked at the pop, but I'd bet there are close to single digits of the 9.5s in the pop report.

Thanks for the words, everyone. You know I can never stay out of a good 90's thread As far as another insert, which isn't exactly the prettiest, but I feel is in a similar situation to the 96-97 Ultra Court Kings is the 96-97 Skybox Z-Force Vortex. I wouldn't say it's the nicest insert, but that's another early insert which is very tough to find in good condition. The majority of the copies have horrendous edges, making a mint copy very hard to find.

Agreed, I've had the MJ vortex in my saved ebay searches for YEARS now and only a handfull of raw copies have ever shown up. Also, rediculous top 5 by the way!

My top 5 90’s are no where as good as many of the others posted but I do love these 5. The Skyonix is just an awesome design and the Provision I pulled as a kid and found it still in great shape in one of my old Nike shoeboxes. I think I need to start hunting for some of the ones posted in this thread. The 1998 Electrifying is top on my list.

Most people don’t understand how rare a genuine original big man on court z peat 9.5 is. That’s the only one I’ve ever seen.

here's 5 of mine, mostly just love the pics and or design.

96-97 ruby - just a total classic pic of jordan and with 1x per box and like a bazillion cards in the set, under-rated rarity

96 ud sp all stars gold die cut

jordan silver maestros - looks like a composite pic, but always made me wonder wtf was happening, he's literally getting horizontal.

topps stars finest refractor, love the whole set

fleer metal slick silver - who does like an acetate with 5x the mj?
