OP can correct me if I'm wrong, but in a dynasty, you keep your entire roster. Each subsequent year, there is a snake draft for just the rookies, but the rest of your roster remains the same from the year prior.
This is the first dynasty league i've played in. Played in many keeper leagues but never a dynasty.

Sounds very interesting and fun. Certainly have to plan for the future when drafting/trading/making picks off the waiver wire.

How long are we keeping our players then? I've only done it with contracts

You keep your players forever. Other than cuts made during the season or cuts made to make room for rookie contracts, your players stay on your team until you move them in some way.

No.

I supposed I could allow trading of slots, meaning you could trade #1 and all the picks that go with it for #12 (or whatever # you preferred) and all the picks that go with it, but there will be no individual draft pick trading before the start up.

Gotchya. But after this start up, then we are allowed to do so?

Yes, draft pick trading will be allowed after the start up. We'll need to have a talk about the method for doing so (all trades involving picks have to be notated) and league longevity and such, but it will be allowed.

Half of people signed up for ClickyDraft so far, please check your PMs and sign up if you haven't done so. I'd like to open up the draft room before the draft Sunday.

You need to click that link, select the spot where you are drafting (3rd team in your case) and change the team name to your blowout name. Need to have everyone registered and spot selected before creating the draft room.

SteveTormollan, 49ers_Swag, chansen10, DallasFan2131 still need to claim their spot on ClickyDraft, let's get this done today so we're all ready to go for the draft tomorrow.

Draft room is up. Draft starts at 7PM EST, please arrive at least 10 minutes beforehand. You should just be able to sign in to your ClickyDraft and see the draft listed in your pending drafts. If you are having issues, PM me.

It will be 1 minute for selections for the first 10 rounds, and then we'll drop it down to 45 or 30 seconds for the next set of rounds so we're not there all night.

Should I wait for your call or at 7, I can go ahead and draft someone

Only 1 minute for selections? That's intense. Like Espn, yahoo, etc, will we be auto-picked if the clock runs out on us? I would much prefer at least a minute and a half.

Also am I reading this correctly that there are 30 rounds in the draft?

I can set the clock to whatever, including 1:30, but keep in mind there are 30 rounds, 1:30 for all of it would be way too long. If the clock runs out, you'll get the highest rated player available. Don't let the clock run out, it will be a pain in my butt to be autopicking for people who can't make up their mind.

Everyone is free to weigh in on what they'd like 1 or 1:30 for the first 10 rounds, but it will definitely be going down to :45 or 30 as it goes on. I'm thinking 1 minute for rounds 1-10, 45 seconds for rounds 10-20, 30 seconds for rounds 20-30. I'm open to thoughts from others though, please leave comments in thread or PM me. I'm okay with doing 1:30 if you guys think you need a little extra time to get familiar with the site or sweating out your decisions. Or perhaps doing 1:30 for 1-5, and dropping to a minute 6-10 might work.

I'm asking everyone to show up early so we can discuss this stuff and be on the same page before the draft. I'd like to find the right balance of people having time for their picks and also not having the draft last all night for those that can't spend as much time as others.

I'm good with the clock as listed above, starting at 1 minute and decreasing in the later rounds. I PMed OP to let him know I am out of the country and mobile so may not be available for he whole draft. Hope to not be too much of a pain and will stick around for as much of the draft as possible.
