Wasn't a fan of his defense which is why I was on the fence for giving him a long term contract. Fact remains, hard to find a guy who's going to hit 35/130 so you are going to overpay, regardless of defensive ratings.

Gonna have to "overlook" his defense as long as he keeps producing at the plate

Great pitching today! Glad the bullpen didn't allow a run. The offense was good. Everyone got a hit except Marte and Calhoun. Good win... onto tomorrow and Ohtani's debut....

Angels lose....the big story is Upton, yet again

Upton, this is the 3rd game you miss a ball. This time though, no hustle, showed lack of interest, and threw the ball at nobody. Looked like you didn't even care.

The boos you got after this play (and rest of your at bats) were well deserved. Angels fans hardly ever boo their own players but tonight was well deserved. Last person I remember getting booed was Jose Guillen for his on field temper tantrums.
