If you read my post i said build around Lebron. Why would anyone think they're building around Lance Stephenson or Rondo? They were quite frankly awful signings aside from being 1 year rentals.

I’m a little skeptical about hiring a GM with no experience. We’re already 0-1 in the last year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

They're not using lance stephenson and rondo to build around Lebron. They are one year rentals. Everyone and their grandma knew this year was going to be a holding period for next year other than that desperate attempt to get AD mid season. That's why he signed a 4 year contract. Come on now, this is very obvious stuff.

I heard Shaq mention on this rockets vs thunder post game that he thinks jerry west should come back to the Lakers. I kinda like that one.

Of course they wanted to have a better season. Lebron got hurt, they failed miserably on their attempt to get AD. But it's ridiculous to claim that he's leaving because he failed to build around Lebron this season, lol. They were a bunch of one year rentals with the sole purpose of having room to make plays this summer to actually build around Lebron. Pretty easy to see that. But when you hate Lebron as much as you guys do, you guys end up seeing things that don't exist.

Im upset with magic for signing a bunch of guards who couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat in regards to their shooting. No idea where in my post you got that I'm a Lebron "hater".. But I definitely am not.

I wasn’t commenting on his coaching career. Just what he did as GM. Never thought he’d be a good coach.

Magic was a part of clearing all the cap space, unfortunately he hasn't been able to land another Superstar to help spoon feed LeBron.
I had my doubts he'd sign who they needed this offseason. Will it change anything for LA? Probably not. Players will either want to join LeBron or they won't.

NBA - No one can steal the attention away from D Wade and Dirk both dropping 30 in their last games of their HOF careers.
Magic - Hold my beer.

Now there is a guy that Lakers could have built an Anthony Davis trade around...

I wouldn't classify Magic as a failure per say. As pgisback stated, all the moves done for the past two years was to clear space for this summer. Magic's success/failure would have been decided who they got as max guys this summer. This year was always going to be an adjustment year. Find out if any of the young guys explode with Lebron and can be kept or just trade pieces. I never thought the Lakers were in a win now mode. The next three years, yes.
No matter what comes out, some of this is going to be pinned on Lebron whether there is truth there or not. He does have a track record of trying to control everything. I can see where you have two uber alphas in Magic and Lebron butting heads. How does this impact free agency this year for the Lakers. This off season will chart the course of the franchise going forward. If they strike out on KD, Kyrie, Thompson (likely) and maybe even Butler or Boogie, then what? AD or bust? |

Lonzo Ball will be the forever mistake
Whether that’s choosing him over Russell (gave up way too soon) or drafting him over Tatum (yes I realize maybe they don’t take him) He’s the trigger point Russell, Ingram, LeBron, Kuzma win a lot of games Yes I realize trading Russell cleared space by dumping Timmy There were still other ways The “snitch” thing got overplayed
