Being in Oklahoma myself and all of my buddies are Very happy the Thunder got SGA from Clippers! He is MUCH better than any of us thought he would be!!

It’s definitely time to talk about him, I was pretty surprised that this is the first thread. I have only a very few cards of him, but he is the 3rd best rookie from the 18-19 class imho. I bought my cards pretty cheap, not planning to pick up any right now, as I’m about to buy some Luka/Jordan.

My tiny Shai collection contains the following cards (added the price I’ve bought them for):

Next Day Auto - $135
Optic Holo Auto -$45
Optic Holo - $20
Silver Prizm x2 -$10 each
Base Prizm x25 - picked them up in a lot for $35
Courtside Base x3 - $10 for the lot

I love Shai’s game. He kind of reminds me of some blend of Kawhi and Manu. He’s a very good defender and facilitator but he has these sneaky moves that get him into the paint for a lot of great looks. I don’t know if it will translate to hobby success but I see him continuing to grow as a player a lot

Same, his drives are artistic. He is great at shifting and throwing defenders off balance. He has a knack for getting the shot off in traffic.

I see a bit of Luka in those drives, but hopefully his percentages improve over time.

Yeah, I’ve bought them very early. Picked up a few as I really liked him and his style, but I’ve stopped buying him after these few cards.

Exactly! But to be honest they could have bought/accumulated his cards for months and months last year at 10-20% of these prices when people were literally giving him away. Plenty to like about him as a prospect with some research.

I was able to pick this up prior to this season. I was a fan of SGA, really happy to see a talented Canadian committing to team Canada for the Olympic qualifier. I hope he can lead team Canada to an Olympic spot for the Tokyo games.
