Yes, those rarely pop up. I only see it going up.

I would rather own every single Dominique Wilkins card ever made during his career years (I'm close) than a handful of his best cards made after he retired (I'm selling).

That is impressive.

You can sell me all your Chronology cards!

I think anyone here calling 1 big card a "collection" is a misnomer. If you are talking about whats better for a collection, I'd put a highly curated set of multiple cards over very few rare ones. A portion of a collection (in my opinion) is how it is shown off, or how it appears to the outside world. Splurging on one or two cards (or unopened packs and boxes (controversial I know) is great and all but not that interesting to someone who wants to see it. I highly curated of low-mid end a some mid-high end is more interesting to me. To use a bad analogy, I'd rather see someone who has collected every type of Jeep created and has really put in time to find the rare ones even if they aren't super valuable than a guy who bought 1 fancy Porsche and 1 fancy Ferrari, even if those two are worth twice the jeep collection.

If I'm looking to flip, a few "smaller" cards. If it's for my PC, the one "big" card. The higher the price tag, the smaller the market.
