He's my favorite pickup right now. So young and has sky high potential. Just my gut, but I wanted Giannis early on but didn't have money to spend. Yes, shot is funny, but if it goes in the hoop, does it matter?

I concur, I have 1 holo gold auto and was really impressed when I got it in hand.

I don’t have too big a high end collection of him, was focusing most of my 2018 money on Luka and SGA, but I do have these:

And a Holo Gold:

I picked up the horizontal NT with the dinged corner on accident yesterday too. Sucks that it’s damaged but it was cheap and I had been meaning to pick one up

A couple quick, crappy pictures of my stash as promised. Not pictured: a few cards off at PSA and about a million Chronicles rookies.

I like JJJ as well, and the current Grizzlies team overall.

Best card I have is this Galactic

Default Let's rap about Jaren Jackson Jr (JJJ)

Prices are crazy.

This gold prizm was at best an estimated 3000 card 3 months ago.

I am a huge believer in JJJ, I hope he does well in the second season.

Love those Holo Golds. Trae raw sold for $650 in April, but that was probably a bit low. So I'd say something like $400-$600 for yours. Luka was $5k for a true gem +.

I like Jaren's game but I'm still torn on his upside. His body lacks fluidity and I wish he played with more of a mean streak.

Anyway, Here's an Optic Gold.

Very nice!

Another JJJ collector here, ever since my son and I ran into him checking out at the Target down the road his rookie year. We collect more low- to mid-range stuff.

Here's the thread with the collection, and, below are a few favorites. Been focusing on the Chronicles master set lately.

I'm liking all of the contributions to the thread. Some of the pics have me scouting for cards I don't already have.

I am really excited for JJJ, I was basically all in on him since the rookie year. The great thing about collecting last year, his rare stuff was easier to find.

Wanted to share some cool cards of this guy:

Been watching JJJ since his one season at MSU. He was a beast but only played 18 minutes a game because of foul trouble. He carried that to the NBA unfortunately. He has a lot of potential. I'm sure Memphis is working on his strength.

He's a humble, unassuming guy too. Makes him easy to cheer for.

I’d say closer to ‘Sheed, without the technicals. Game is more face up than post, defends the rim well, although foul prone. Kinda crazy his hobby love when he doesn’t handle the ball at all

Wallace wasn't shooting 6+ 3's/game at a 40% clip at 20 years old, which is why JJJ's getting love from the hobby right now. Also, JJJ's coach, Taylor Jenkins, used to coach in Milwaukee with another 6'11" player who turned out well, so don't count out the ball handling just yet. Coach says he envisions JJJ as a "power guard". We'll see if that starts to take shape in the years ahead.

Cmon man don’t use modern days stats in a player comparison. It’s like saying Duncan Robinson is a superior shooter to Reggie Miller. I was saying his game is more stylistically comparable to Sheed than LaMarcus. For the era, Sheed was one of the best stretch 4s, and his versatility is what made Detroit so good.

I think the JJJ / Clarke / Jonas trio is a great frontline to put behind Ja, all they need is to sign some solid vet wings and they’ll be competing against the big boys in no time

Ha, if we're talking about how they use their bodies, I'm not going to question your comparison. That's not really something I research, so I'm leaving that to you. My response was more aimed at his hobby love. I think we're all waiting to see if he takes another step (look at everyone sitting on nice cards), but I 100% love watching this young team play (more basketball can't come soon enough)!
