Seems a little excessive.
I do, especially if they're already listed for sale - it may clue me into the fact that I need to adjust pricing.

That’s exactly the point that I’m making...

Ah. You have it listed for sale. Yes. That makes more sense.

I was thinking more from a collector standpoint. When it comes to my high-end collection cards that I have no interest in selling I'll take a look every now and then... but if I were to be actively trying to sell one I supposed I'd check more.

Agreed for the most part I could care less what a card in my PC is worth. Every now and again I’ll casually look, but not of interest to me.

I loved listening to the HOJ podcast but since Card Ladder came out their focus has shifted entirely to that and the content has dried up. It's a shame.

The analytics and the discussion and the passion for the cards was interesting to listen to and frankly quite refreshing in a hobby full of cookie cutter, SCI style investor pump and dump content creators. They were genuine, or so I thought, but it seems they've just jumped on the bandwagon to capitalize on the hot market like everyone else.

Wrong. Unless you know some very poor "wealthy" people.

Wealthy people don't pinch pennies because it's irrational in small decision making.

If your investing in cards that you don't have any idea about past/projected future sales trends, you should probably not be buying.

doesn't take much effort to look up sold/completed listings on ebay unless you have 8 million cards you need to look up daily.

If it is, then you need to pay someone to do it for you, i.e. CL and MM

SCI was a fun show and harmless before he started acting like someone on the Home Shopping Network.

Chris from House of Jordans and Josh from Cardboard Chronicles do a show together on IG live Friday nights usually at 9pm PST. It's some of the smartest sports card talk out there, and makes up for the lack of new HOJ podcasts imo.

It would be silly in my opinion to be making investments off either and unnecessary as the information is out there for free.

I can at least see niche uses for card ladder if you're lazy as they've collated together some of the free info for you but to me it's basically a big pump and dump whether intentional or not

Market movers is a complete scam run by somebody who is a huge detriment to the hobby, doesn't know jack squat about cards seeing as how he can't even pronounce the names of NBA players correctly, and is in my opinion a predator of new entrants into the hobby
