Sold a '18 Luka RC Purple Prizm /75 for $2k.

But it was cool that the founder of StockX Josh Luber bought it.

don't sell much but i'm sure there are some

But biggest regret is not buying a card - logoman for robinson/ewing/olajuwon - growing up in 90s, should have just bought it!!!

Nothing THAT depressing but each and every one of these stings me just from a collection standpoint…

MJ:
97-98 Finest Silver Refractor /1090 BGS 9.5 with the highest subs I’ve ever seen for copies with the peel still on

93-94 Ultra Power in the Key BGS 9 (since picked up an ungraded copy in solid shape, prob an 8/8.5)

95-96 Stadium Club Warp Speed BGS 9

99-00 UD Legends Final Floor box topper with a sliver of the Jazz paint (this one’s more nostalgic than anything just because I pulled it as a kid)

Kobe:
97-98 Topps Generations Refractor BGS 9

99-00 Finest Double Double Refractor w/ peel

98-99 Finest Boxtopper Refractor with peel (another childhood pull, I’ve since replaced it with another copy sans-peel)

I have told my story enough times but would be all of them. My very large Shaq and Kobe collection (along with other big/decent basketball and baseball cards I had). I only kept my White Sox, Frank Thomas and "junk" collection.

I was a huge collector starting in about 92. Frank Thomas first then Shaq when he was a rookie. Almost gave up when Shaq left Orlando and signed with the Lakers but got over that and just became a Lakers fan. Kobe came and then collected them both heavily. I sure miss the early days of "cheap" additions to my collection.

I sold it all in 2006 after a break up from a girlfriend and me losing interest in collecting. Sold my Shaq, Kobe and other nicer cards to my old LCS owner for $3800. Money was more needed at the time after the breakup and being in a hard time in life. I know I had at the time a Kobe collection of over $10,000. Shaq I don't know but it was large and much more quantity wise than the Kobe collection.

Been 5 years since last login on here. I went through my storage from what I have let over before I got rid of my collection to buy a house long ago. I had 5 Kobe Bryant BGS 9.5's chrome's I had several of psa 10 durant refractors and white refractors. I had probably half million dollar collection if i kept it all. but hey i have a $300k house paid off so maybe it worked out? I am posting some of the rest of the stuff i have for sale i have chris paul rookies and durant i plan on getting rid of. Keeping most my kobe rookies I think...

A 2015-16 Court Kings Box Topper Auto of Kobe that I personally pulled from a single box . Sold it thinking I'd buy a regular size card Kobe Auto to replace it but never did.

I sold most of my most valuable cards a couple years before the pandemic-fueled boom, but as someone else said, who knew that was going to happen.. I prefer not to think about it or admit it, but I will.

I used to have these cards and sold them too cheaply and/or too early because I needed money and was trying to get out of the 'hobby':

1996-97 Bowman's Best Kobe Bryant Best Cuts refractor - bought for $40, sold for $60 several years ago - now

1996-97 Bowman's Best Steve Nash RC refractor - sold for $40 (Nash is one of my favourite players)

1996-97 topps chrome Steve Nash RC

1996-97 topps finest Kobe Bryant gold RC - bought for $50 -sold for $100 - now ?

2001-02 topps chrome refractor set

2002-03 topps chrome refractor set

2002-03 topps finest Lebron James XRC refractor - BGS 8.5

2003-04 topps Lebron James RC

2003-04 topps complete set

2003-04 ud Lebron James RC - bought for $5 in 2006, sold for $50 - now $2 000?

2003-04 topps chrome complete set

2003-04 topps chrome Kobe Bryant refractor

2003-04 topps contemporary Lebron James RC

2003-04 topps finest Lebron James RC/999 (had chipping on back edges) - sold for under $200 - not sure what it is now

2003-04 topps chrome D. Wade refractor

2003-04 topps chrome C. Bosh X-fractor

Yup, prices now are right around the same prior to the huge jump in Feb. If you still believe in the market's long term potential, NOW is the time to buy. I can't imagine the market bottoming out much more than this.

2008-09 Topps Chrome LeBron Gold Refractor BGS 9.5

I don't regret selling the card. I just wish I could have held it a little longer.

I had some medical bills I needed to pay off. So I reluctantly sold it in early 2020. If I just could have held it it for one more year... sigh.

I sold my Giannis NT RPA for $800 in his 2nd or 3rd season during the offseason.

Yep that's me. Now it's a $150K card.

And the number 1 all-time ragret - 2000 contenders championship ticket Tom Brady auto/100, sold for about $10 shortly after I pulled it from a sealed box back in 2000/2001.

And please don't ask about my Tiger Woods collection.

Oh yeah, forgot 2a. 2009-10 exquisite Tiger/Jordan dual auto/3. LOL, how did I forget about that? Believe me, I try to forget about these cards every day....

1996-97 Flair showcase hot shots Michael Jordan. Traded away at a card shop for a few 96-97 bowman’s best and spx packs. I was 12…and stupid.

There is a card I regret not buying.

A really great guy on ozcards had a 96/97 Flair row 2 Jordan Auto 1/1 for sale. I think he wanted $7k originally but went down a bit.

That card was just stunning.
