Of course. It's weird that his batted ball profile doesn't really show the power but it sure seems that it's there. It's crazy that he can very well end up as a 4 win player this year and his prices are like 90% off it's peak. Prospecting is so dumb.

I caught a glimpse on TV and if anything, he is smaller than when I saw in in Rookie League. Somebody give this kid a sammich! His face looked younger too. It was like I was looking at Gary Pettis's brother or something.

This is a good question. I can tell you first hand that things are moving right now. That said, I expect everything to be at least this high, if not higher, come March, 2024. The risk would be with performance, but that can go both ways.

Anyone else see a budding five tooler here? So many pundits said he had zero power but he has 14 line drive socks so far in his age 22 season. Reasonably projectable to 20 with natural maturity. Pair that with speed and defense and you got a player. Nats could be relevant in a year or two. Not many 20/50 type 22-23 year olds you can pick up on the cheap.

Creator, director, filmmaker, composer, collaborator - sounds like a five-tool talent to me!

I have a card or two I impulse bought. Just wish they didn't have so many fielding poses..

He could turn out to be really good.
Better than Volpe and others I think he has a lot of room to develop Those who started collecting him after his debut should be able to do really well Those of us like be who bought before his callup will have a hard time making our $ back The hobby love quickly faded Last edited by brios8; 08-27-2023 at 06:48 PM. |

I’m a fan. I wouldn’t say he’s been amazing, other than his recent explosion on the base paths. But he has nice power to go with that speed.
He’s not exactly an OBP machine at this point, so that’ll need to improve (which it should). He’s actually having a very similar season to what Witt did last year as a 22-year-old. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Another nice day, 3/3 with 3 bags to boot. Still just 22 years old.

Nice future ahead
Will be interesting to see how the hobby reacts if he keeps getting better the next two seasons. It will be tough having much hobby love, but it could happen next year if he REALLY improves. Odds are though that he might just be a great player with not much hobby love similar to Kyle Tucker. The good thing is he could become the Nationals Franchise player. |

Dylan Crews is likely to take that title before anybody on the current roster, and I don't think it's a poorly constructed roster. Super early but he's even got the right initials for city!

CJ Mail Day. Not bad for $30. You could do worse.

It's pretty wild. Since July 1, he's 29 for 30 in stolen bases. Over a full season, that would translate to 90 for 93, which is just an insane rate and efficiency in steals.

It's funny because his development is going about as good as could be humanly expected. He's currently the player he was hyped to be as a prospect. And it's led to being a hobby nonfactor. Prospecting is ridiculous.

But I do agree with you that his development is coming along as good as could be expected. I also agree that prospecting is ridiculous. |
