Okay, I guess I'm ready now. I finally finished sorting my 2020 Stadium Club Chrome base set last night. Just need to sleeve them all and put them away. Ended up having to buy the last 2 base cards I needed because I just could not find a Freddie Freeman or Hanser Alberto out of a pack.

I skipped 2021, but I'm ready for 2022!

Hobby boxes are a terrible rip, right? Last year, I think you typically got 1 numbered card and a crappy auto? Beautiful cards, but the value seems to be low.

I think that's how it was in 2020 as well. Of course, if you could get them from Topps at the MSRP of $75 it wasn't too bad. I think I picked up just one hobby box from eBay and it ended up being a good one - auto was a Luis Robert redemption and my one numbered hit was a Bo Bichette /25.

One of those that def seems better by the case as the sets sell extremely well

Bought a a case 1 year and 12 boxes the next, that said without a big hit it can be quite the grind

Any chrome from SC base will have a different photo for this release. At least, that is how they have done it so far.

love SC chrome, wish they'd always do the refractor parallels in the style of 2021 but ship has sailed on that given how they treated the orange chrome parallels in the base set, right?

I agree. I wish they toned the whole picture like they did last year. Just doing the little logo makes all the parallels feel the same to me.

I didn't open any SCC last year, but this wasn't the case for 2020. There were several players where they used the same image in both regular SC and in SCC, even for players who had chrome parallels in regular SC.

If the orange /99 image matches the xfractor it is an example.

This is just off the top of my head, but I'm fairly certain all of these players had a chrome parallel in regular 2020 Stadium Club and were also present in 2020 Stadium Club Chrome with the same image:

Jacob deGrom
Hank Aaron
Frank Thomas
David Wright
Xander Bogaerts
Darryl Strawberry
Don Mattingly

I'm pretty sure there are others, but I can't recall all of them from memory.

Definitely happened. From what I remember, the only way to tell them apart was that the Topps Chrome logo was in one corner for the regular issue chromes, and in a different corner for the SC Chrome chromes.

It was a nightmare.

That’s just like what Topps has done with the ‘22 Topps Chrome ESP rookies. They were essentially re-issued in the Sonic release, but the Topps and RC logos are flipped.

Not cool.

sadly, its the entire Sonic Set that has the TC Logos flipped. They went back and printed more stock for the release. shady AF
