A bunch of my friends and I are out here for the game right now. Seems like we’re good luck charms haha

It's still too early to be looking at the standings, but it's nice to see the Cubbies are back in the fight after a solid week of baseball.

Tauchman is playing really well in CF

Belli is back - much needed bat

Hendricks is rounding into form

Steele is back tomorrow

Stroman continues to be lights out - 13 Quality Starts - with decent run support he could easily be 12-2 or 13-2 - had 3 ND where he pitched 18.1 IP and allowed just 4 ER over 3 starts. And 2 losses that he only allowed 2 ER in each start. Crazy to think what a few more runs could have done to his season.

I hope this is the beginning of a fun stretch.

I was at the games on 06/14, 06/15, and 06/16 and they won them all. It was my wifes first time at Wrigley so I was super happy she got to see some W's. I told her we couldn't leave Chicago until they lost. Literally as we were boarding our train on Sunday they lost to the Orioles. It's so nice to see them playing good ball again. I just hope they can keep it up this time.

Cubs off to a great start in London.

5-0 heading to bottom 3rd.

Ian Happ 2 HRs

Morel and Gomes each 2-2 with an RBI

Justin Steele working with a 5 run lead... fun couple innings

Jared Young might have just Wally Pipp'd Matt Mervis.

Not an immediate replacement, but he hasn't stopped hitting since being called up. .500/.500/1.375 - 1.875 OPS... 2 triples, HR, 4 RBIs - just his 3rd game

What are we doing at the trade deadline? I really want us to keep and re-sign Bellinger.

With Boras as his agent the Cubs will sign him if they pay the most. I doubt that happens.

What a game, that bottom of the 9th probably took a couple years off my life.

I don't know. This team just keeps winning. #7 in a row tonight.

The 8th and 9th innings were crazy.

So close to adding an insurance run.

I thought those missed opportunities were gonna cost the Cubs in the 9th. That double play was HUGE and the catch by Tauchman was one of the best catches I've ever seen. Game saver.... took away a HR.

3.5 GB in wildcard.

4.5 GB in NL Central

I really hope Cubs aren't sellers come Tuesday.... I'd love if they could add a couple pieces... this is the kind of team that 1 or 2 pieces could make a HUGE difference.

They will not sell. I’m not even sure they want to trade to take away any mojo. The team is rolling, sometimes trades break that continuity. Let them roll.

Adding a Juan Soto type player could be just what this team needs to put them over the top. Also 1 additional bullpen arm.

Not saying Soto... someone like him... Arenado is another. A solid bat that you can plug in and just continues the hitting.

Someone like that will cost a PCA and others but you take a proven star if the opportunity is available.

I don't even know who I would want that is actually available for the right price.

I guess Blake Snell would be at the top of my wants with a nice bullpen arm.

The Mike Tauchman game saving catch ... robbing a HR... doesn't qualify for a Topps Now card.

Yeah that's a pretty egregious oversight. They've missed plenty over the years, but can't remember one as obvious as this one.

I was really hoping for a Soto -Snell - Hader package regardless of cost, especially with the free agents we have leaving at end of year and the soft division, the window is cracked and you’re either in or out.

Acquiring those 3 at once seems doable, would win the trade deadline, and give a really great chance for this team to win a lot more than just that this year.

Winning 8 in a row sealed the deal. This streak ends sooner fairly certain we’d be seeing a sell off.

Cubbies keep Belli and Stroman.

Team responds with 13 hits and 13 runs thru 4 innings.

Our CY candidate on the mound.... love his walk off after a strike out.

Guess Cubbies made a bad move trading him a couple years ago...

He's been back for 15 innings... Cubbies have scored 30 runs LOL

Not 30 runs in 15 games.... 15 INNINGS

It’s very fun feeling that buzz in the ballpark again. Been a bit since I’ve heard Wrigley rocking like this.

Outside of Bellinger batting .322 the Cubs are stockpiled with players batting 265-.282. Even RBI totals are oddly within just a few from the leader to multiple Cubs.

I like there chances.
