Interestingly, the lakers are worse defensively and less efficient on the offensive side of the ball when James is on the court this year. Food for thought.

I definitely agree with those that are commenting that the only reason he’s still playing at a “high level” is because the game is kind of a joke now. It’s kind of sad. If the game was anything close to what it was when LeBron enter the league he probably would have retired by now. We were watching some of the older kids play before my little guys bball camp and it’s so Fricken painful. Everyone either dances around until they can launch a 3 or drive a dish to someone for a 3. There was a kid about half a foot taller than the rest of the kids, no one passed him the ball. He just stood under the rim, grabbed rebounds and kicked the ball back out, even on offensive rebounds. Modern basketball in a nutshell.

I think LeBron is a douche but still probably the second greatest player of all time

Tom Brady and Tiger Woods have no business on any greatest ATHLETE list. Winners? Yes. Performers? Yes. Athletes? Not a chance.

Lebron did it in an era where players only job / career were to be an athlete and produce for 20 years.

Jordan did it when the term "Street Free Agent" literally meant the guy might have been found on the street loading a moving truck or slicing deli meats.

It's a different time. Lebron going to 8 straight finals is a testament to his ability. Losing 5 sucks but he lost to the warriors three times, the tail end of the spurs dynasty and.. check notes.. JJ Barea.

Sad part is the longer he plays, the more people will detract from his abilities by calling him a Stat Compiler.

I was too young to watch Jordan in person, but had the pleasure of being to watch LeBron in person multiple times at The Garden, including in the playoffs.

I would loved to see Jordan and Bird play in this soft era and the rules changes that all benefit the offensive player.

The correct term is “stat padder.”

When you are allowed to skip college, that’s your career advantage.

Also, the transformation of the NBA into a three point contest helps as well.

I mean him being able to skip college got him 1 extra year of stats compared to guys today...that's really not a huge thing when considering a 21+ year career. It's not like the NFL where guys have to wait till they finish their 3rd year of college to enter the draft.

Sure, he's been padding stats simply because he's been around so long, but he's pretty much been a top 10 player in the league every single year he's been healthy. The ability to keep up that high level of play over 2+ decades in basketball is nearly unheard of.

Compared to the GOATs, however, he has a 2-4 year stat padding advantage, which can account for stats that are inflated by as much as 20% over a 20 year career! (Four years of nba production can lead to 8000+ more points to your career total).

No doubting his longevity, but when the league has coddled you since joining and has provided a county club nursing home for you at the twilight of your career called the three point contest regular season, he has truly been in a ideal bubble environment. Mickey Mouse would be envious.

Imagine if LeBron/Curry/Duncan-Parker-Manu-Kawhi Spurs played the same garbage teams as the Pippen team-friendly contract MJ Bulls did.

Easy 6+ championships right there.

Shoot, you could've replaced MJ with someone like Klay Thompson and got the same exact outcome.

Seeing as the Jazz whooped the Spurs in 98 I'm not so sure.

The Bulls in that run also faced some quality teams.

When LeBron made 8 finals straight, some of those years he didn't even face a HOFer. One season the best player he faces was DeRozan.

God how I wish the Spurs were in the East. They would have made 8 in a row also and won far more titles than Bron came away with.

Agreed.

One of the dumbest posts we've ever seen.

It's the festive season though so he can still blame the egg nog laced with acid.

It’s the rancid oil from the fryer. It deludes the mind.

Since fanatics has taken away many opportunities for easy box flip money, folks have been forced to work more McDonald’s holiday shifts to make up for the lost income to “fund their Bron third year laker rookie collections.”

Leflop is the leader in total 30 points games. Did it in 1523 games in 22 seasons. He surpassed Jordan who did it in 1072 games over 15 seasons.

Lebron is pretty good. He was able to put together some great teams as GM of the Heat, Cavs (second stint), and Lakers. And he was a founder of the load management and player empowerment era, which has helped reduce NBA ratings to their current level.

Kind of like how your mind is deluded ol' hermano?

LOVE how people are downplaying what Lebron is doing at his age.

News flash: If it was so easy, EVERYONE would be doing it.

I don't care if Lebron is playing the Wizards every night. He's still producing at a high level, and his numbers reflect that.

I was referencing the Klay Thompson replacing MJ jab by the never-been-but-always-aspiring-to-be-golden arches-employee of the month eastbay. He’s been drippin’ for a box flippin’ ever since fanatics took over and increased initial prices on wax across the board.

The man has not been thinking clearly since his box flip profitz have caved. Poor guy needs some special sauce, stat!

Did you just chime in without any context?

Dude said replace MJ with Klay and they win all those titles

It was up there with the dumbest thing we've read on here.
