This is the most blatant cash in product of the year imo. And the autos seeded in this are between laughable and insulting for the money of a box.

I saw that Andre Ware has a card in this set. I understand he was a prolific college player and Heisman winner but he saw the field in a total of 14 NFL games, not sure how he found his way into a high end football card set in 2025.

Honestly, probably better than the same retired players they recycle set after set.

Red flag alert of a sticker dump product. The fact that this garbage has a $1,000 shelf price at my LCS is laughable

There is no possible way your shop owner is selling Prizm Deca Football for $500 a box. That's the lowest price anyone paid even if you avoided tax and there are about a million sales between $720-$800 a box.

Can someone explain why these sell for $800 and normal Prizm hobby boxes sell for $1200? Is it just a temporary supply-demand thing?

I don't see why Deca isn't even with Prizm hobby. Box count is way less and you have a better chance at pulling lower numbered cards. Deca has a shorter checklist so not as many duds on the base checklist. What's mind boggling is how Deca Football FOTL is $3300-$3500 a box. You're basically paying around $2500+ for 2 cards /12 or less and 2 autos /25 or less. You can buy 4 Prizm Deca boxes for less than the price of 1 FOTL box. The 3 regular Prizm FOTL exclusive cards are valued around $800. Somehow the 4 Deca FOTL are over triple that. Makes no sense. |

12 parallels in Deca. I'm currently working on a 2024 prizm rainbow and have 50/64 parallels and 5/12 2024 deca. Honestly know I won't own any of the 1/1s but that's ok considering how many parallels there is in the first place lol. There are 5 1/1's between the 2 sets and unfortunately I missed out on the 1st 2024 prizm that was auctioned by $5, the 2nd 1/1 that was auctioned went almost 5x more (nebula prizm). The finite is out of my price range as well unfortunately. 1 of the Deca 1/1s went higher than I expected too. So looks like I'm just chasing the rainbows minus 1/1s lol. *Edit:Not gonna lie, I was one of the only ones on this forum back in 2012 that loved the original prizm set and I love the homage design to the original. I still chuckle thinking back at all of those threads "cHrOmE>>>>pRiZm"...lol all I know is that set was $$$$ lol those cheap prizms lots on paid off! Lol Last edited by dbrown; 04-29-2025 at 07:06 PM. |

Select still holds the record for most parallels correct? Or did Mosaic finally overtake it? I lost track.

2012-2014 Prizm was awesome, and the amount of money I've made off of the stuff I held for nearly 10 years has been insane. If I wasn't selling off as much of my collection as I can manage (minus the 2014 Jordy rainbows), I'd probably get in on the DECA parallels getting them as singles as I do like that they did the retro release. Adulting sucks |

And yes!!!! Totally agree with ya, When I mainly focused on collecting prizm (panthers, Miami Heat, & former uva cavaliers players and first year of prizm draft) I definitely didn't expect the prices to get to what they are today. I still have an absolutely huge stash of 2012 Prizm football & basketball silver prizms I'm holding on to. In 2012 I used to be able to purchase lots of 10-20 2012 silver prizms for $5-10, both nba & nfl. So glad I did haha $$$$$ Cha Ching lol Also this is a great example for new collectors to realize to collect what you like and not buy into the current hype of what others like. 75% of users on blowout hated on Prizm and chrome in 2012-2013. It was kinda comical. Collect the brands/sets/player you want to collect.
