Trading within the division of the NFL is a bad move.

How bad are the other Bung-Hole QBs, if they are anointing Flacco the starter before he is even off the bus from Cleveland?

Joe Flacco has only been a Cincinnati Bengal for 24 hours. It's all the time Zac Taylor needed to name the 40-year-old veteran the starter for Week 6.

Flacco will lead the Bengals into Green Bay this Sunday against the Packers, the Bengals head coach confidently announced Wednesday.

"Brings great experience, great leadership. His style fits our style of play, too," Taylor said. "Excited to get him out there. We'll start him this week, so he's going to take all the reps, get ready to go. Already spent a lot of time meeting with us, getting up to speed so we feel really good about where he's at."

I had so wanted to go to GB for the Bengals game (wife is a Bengals fan, and myself Packers), and we had actually talked about making the trek up to see it, but finances didn't work out that way. Would have been an interesting game to be at, one way or another, too bad I couldn't swing the cost of the trip.

I like how The Athletic graded the trade...

Bengals grade: Worth a shot
Browns grade: Sure, why not

"In theory, Flacco looks like a better option than Browning, Rypien and Clifford because he should be able to pick up Taylor’s coaching points relatively quickly. Also, “just throw it to Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins” would be advice worth heeding.

However, expectations should be managed. Yes, Flacco was terrific in 2023, but he’s 6-21 in his post-Baltimore Ravens career outside those seasons. And while the Bengals have elite skill players, they’re still not strong enough on the offensive line"

"It’s a good trade for the Browns. Flacco was no longer in their plans, so they improved their draft stock by an estimated round and a half with the pick swap. It’s the NFL’s version of free money"

This is the dumbest thread in Blowout history.

We are breaking down a trade of a beyond washed QB the Browns didn’t even want.

Y’all are better than this.

Except the Browns fan breaking it down.

Wrong

If this was true you wouldn’t be on the Browns nuts in every thread. You’d just ignore them

You know the real truth

Starting this guy after only a couple of days seems mindboggling to me.

How much of the playbook could he possibly ingest by game day?

I'm assuming this is gonna be a game of running backs and mostly safe drop offs to RBs and TEs?

Its a 90 minute drive. It would take Flacco longer than that, to get through TSA these days!
