Guy gave away a ton of high end and some really expensive headphones. I'm sure a lot of people on here have his personal address, and I'm sure he has a family. It's not like he's some sort of robinhood enigma with no fingerprint or trace.

Even if PayPal was sent in form of goods your not fully protected,Someone could close their bank account at anytime with PayPal not even knowing.Money could be cleared out and bank account no longer linked making it impossible for a refund.This has happend to me in the past on eBay.I never recieved a few things and just took a refund for granted until Paypal told me I was SOL.

I sure hope everything gets worked out here but I must say this dude "giving" out all of them beats and other stuff was pretty questionable from the jump.This could be the biggest red flag...as others mentioned it's a great scam tactic to build everyone's trust.

Good luck to both parties but this seems like a bad situation...

Actually yes, you're always fully protected against fraud if you don't pay via 'gifts' Paypal is a bank, they're full insured just like any other bank against chargebacks and loss. That's part of the money we pay with the ebay and paypal fees. Your statement couldn't be further from the truth.

Doesn't matter if a person uses a p.o. box, home address, located over in russia, using a fake alias, clears out their bank account, or leaves the country. Paypal always gets their money back. Whether it be through using creditors or them just getting their money from insurance. Sorry but what you said is completely incorrect. Don't go putting out false information trying to scare people. I've actually been in a scenario as you mentioned where a powerseller on ebay took about 50k worth of money from people on fraudulent presales of bowman chrome baseball cases. Everyone got their money back, so long as they were within the 45 day period.

Than why did I never recieve my refunds? The seller provided no proof of shipment nor did I ever even hear back from neither of them? I was just fortunate both items were less than $20.I may be incorrect have no problem admitting so..I can't understand how Paypal could risk their long term $$$ if what you claim is indeed a fact.

As for your claim of me "scaring people" is what is far from the truth? I can post whatever the hell I want nobody has to believe me? Lay off the Internet juice...

I bought 3 cards from a quicksale he held. He was very nice and all 3 cards came on time, well packaged and as described. Those are all of the facts that I have on Haiku and therefore the end of my post.

Not if you received a item. It doesn't have to be what you asked for...you could receive a box of shredded paper with a DC number and you're pretty much screwed. Buyers using straight Paypal goods are only protected against "Item not received", they are not protected against "Item Not as Described"

That is why it's always best to pay more and go thru eBay.

Yes, you are correct but the key point in your post is that you purchased on eBay, not straight Paypal Goods and therefore does not apply to the type of transaction that these folks participated in.

For all of you who say trust this Haiku guy, he is just going though some "stuff" right now. Please let me tell you what has really happened. I have seen this play out 2-3 times on this forum and it always ends with the thief stealing a massive amount of money. He set you all up with smaller deals just to steal all your money when he offers some huge dollar deals.

1. Member becomes known as great guy
2. Member completes lots of small deals at first and moves on to mid to higher priced deals.
3. Member starts offering a few great deals and quickly ships.
4. Member then offers some huge high dollar amazing deals and lot of people buy.
5. Member has "personal" problems and can't ship, nearly all communication stops.
6. Member gets suspended.
7. Member gets another member to post vague responses on his behalf, assuring everyone is ok.
8. At some point people come to the realization they have been scammed.
9. People start to blame BO - it's not really their fault but it happens everytime.
10. New thief comes around and does the same thing.

You folks who think this is not a scam are sadly mistaken, the folks who have been on the forum for 5+ years have seen this play out several times.

This. Also these were mystery lots, so the buyers didn't know what they were going to receive. Hell I don't think he even said they would be $XXX worth of anything, let alone cards.

Everyone who was affected needs to file a complaint at the same time and Paypal will more than likely to resolve the issue faster.

And also write "If it is too good to be true, it probably is." 100 times on Ruled paper before the end of the day. /snark

First everyone that has a not received anything will get there money back if they open a case. He can close all his bank accts will not matter paypal will refund everyone and then go after him legally to recoup the money. Second, he sold a few lots and did some free giveaways so people were all talking about how great he and his lots are then he starts selling tons of lots for $$$ and people see his great feedback and hear the amazing cards others received and jump on the train and get burned.

If anyone does not get a refund from paypal is would be shocking.
