Once you have an injury to a part of the body, I’d imagine it’s more likely to happen again. 3 ankle issues in 5 years with two being surgeries, so it’s been something to consider. His injury risk seems low though at 21%.

I read multiple articles saying that it IS A MYTH that broken bones grow back "stronger than they originally were" but that they DO grow back "as strong as they were originally were" and that if the healing process is not perfect it "might be more prone to fracture"

Bottom line is, Nix has had this injury before, he's come back from it and played well. We are talking 4-6 weeks healing not several months as with MCL,ACL, achilles, etc. He made it through 2 full seasons without injury, I will bet he can get through another couple

This will (presumably) be his first rehab with an NFL training staff, so that could be reason for optimism this time around. I do think leg asymmetry during rehab is a real risk and what can make a player 'injury prone'. When you focus too much on one part of the body, it can create an imbalance and injury risk elsewhere when not all components are conditioned the same. End result is George Kittle. He's had at least 5 different leg injuries in his career, and all to the right leg. These guys are maximizing the physical capability of their individual frames, and the game is moving so fast, that the smallest imbalance can create a long term problem. As a fan of Nix and the 2024 rookie QB class in general, I hope that's not the case here.

Full disclaimer - I'm not a doctor and could be completely wrong.

Since it's the same injury for Nix, maybe it's just never healed properly. He could have brittle bones, but then why would it be isolated to just his foot.

I am not a doctor either but I am willing to bet with this big an investment in a franchise QB, that the team will spare no expense in the best medical care and treatment. I also hope that they get Bo a real RB and couple more weapons so maybe he won't have to run as much

By the way Bo Nix had his own press conference clapping back on some of what Payton said

This weekend's Bo Nix pickups (those Prime Time Case hits look awesome)

I'm going to load up on him all off season. He is going to the moon next year if they get a true #1 WR, a real RB and a TE (all of which are possible in this off season through draft and free agency)

Denver needs to target Likely, Njoku, Pitts, or Goedert in free agency.

Need a recommendation for a 2024 Topps Auto from Nix- which one is the best to buy?
Never been a collector of the Topps autos, and not super familiar with the ranking of the various Topps releases. Thanks in advance

Why not wait until they have the license and logos?

Pulled the trigger on this one, SP and on card. I have my eye on 2-3 more autos to target this off season

Nix Fans, who would you like to see paired up with Bo Nix to take him to the next level?

RB's: Dobbins is good when healthy but he's never healthy- let him go. Harvey is a 2.6 YPC guy that is good for passing downs. Time to get a real stud RB with no health risk.
I would happily take any of the following free agent RBs

Breece Hall/ Etienne/ Kenneth Walker/Allgeier/ Rachaad White- ANY of these guys can pound the rock, and a couple of them can be three down backs none have serious injury history. If Bo gets any one of these guys it will be great. In the draft, I really like Mike Washington. A bruising RB with speed and can catch, and best of all he can likely be had rd 3.

Free agent TEs- Dallas Goedert/Kyle Pitts/ Likely/ Njoku- any one of these 3 guys is a major improvement for Denver. Likely is youngest, Goedert the oldest but a great all around TE and major red zone target. Pitts, not a blocker at all so that hurts, but could immediately become a major weapon for Bo. If they decide to move up in the draft, hard not to like Kenyon Sadiq, but they have to move up likely into top 20. Guy is a stud.

At WR, I am not crazy about the draft WR class, and there are no true #1 WR free agents (at least none without baggage) Pickens would be an obvious choice, but I am worried about the drama he will bring. I'll pass. Mike Evans, coming off big injuries and old now. I'll pass. Alec Pierce is a great weapon, and insane long ball pass catcher, but I do not view him as a true #1. That makes me think making a trade is the best option for a proven WR-someone you get and know they are a true #1 and Sutton should feast as a #2.
Possible WR trade targets: AJ Brown, only 28 yrs old still, and still a beast. He might bring the kind of baggage that Pickens would but not as bad. I am all for bringing in AJ, and rumors are that Birds would move him. Waddle- the Dolphins are in full rebuild and may trade him. I am all for it, while I don't think he's a true dominant #1, in this Denver offense he really could excel. Aiyuk- too much baggage for me- pass. Garrett Wilson- if they are in full rebuild mode, I'd love to have him in Denver. Brian Thomas JR- feels like he's expendable in Jacksonville and he has size, speed and talent, and we saw what he could do in his rookie season. I'd take a chance on him. WILD CARD WR- Marvin Harrison is another guy that feels like he's out of place in AZ. I wonder if they would move him? He's talented but so far has not lived up to the hype

My prediction: If Denver address RB/TE/WR thru some combo of draft/free agency/trade and fix all 3 spots, Denver is in the super bowl and Nix is MVP candidate

I agree that they need to fix every skill position for Nix to be an MVP candidate.

Well, I know that your response is a trolling one, but let's see- despite ZERO run game, and ZERO production in the TE category, the 2nd most drops in the league by wide receivers, and no true #1 WR, Bo Nix has been pretty damn good(outplayed MVP Josh Allen few weeks ago too). Now they have cap room, and a new offensive minded OC, so I think they actually ARE going to fix those 3 positions, and Nix WILL be an MVP contender despite your attempt at trolling

Stafford had the best 1-2 WR combo in the game AND a great RB, so looks like he needed all the skill positions fixed to win an MVP too, huh?

It's a make-or-break year for Bo Nix in 2026. If he does not perform a lot better than he did in 2025 and the Broncos do not see success, then the Broncos will have to move on from him.

You are clearly not in tune with what Nix has done or what Denver thinks of him. You are 100% WRONG
