Running PSA Order Tracker

Ultra Modern (1 of 5 "value" orders) "arrived" on 11/3/2020 shipped today...small order but the gem rate was about as bad as my first order some 10+ years ago when I didn't know what I was doing. I've either regressed to not knowing what's mint/gem mint or my eyes have gotten really bad or 10s are now a lot harder. 40% gem rate when all orders in the past has been 75-85%. Multiples of 2019 410s base and parallels (non-chromes). It's been over a decade since I've seen a 7 (one 7 & six 8s out of 80) lol...must have completely missed something on that one but all the 9s Really worried now about the other 4 value orders.

Pretty disappointing when paying $200 that it just sat there in the pile for 6 days but at least I know it was not lost

Just ignore the fact that the other one, of the exact same service level/special, logged more than a month later, has been in Grading for over a week now...

PSA does

There is no rhyme or reason it seems to their system. It should be a very basic first in first out when it comes to each service level, but they are jumping all over the place.

I can only imagine, and cringe when I do, the mess they are in with all these submissions... but yeah, FIFO by service level only makes too much sense!

A couple of weeks ago I mailed in two submissions, regular and express. Literally, 6 cards and 3 cards. It maybe took me, what, 20-30 minutes between completing each form online. My submission numbers are 117 apart. It was probably a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. In about a 30 minute span, over 100 submissions were at least started on their website.

It's easy to get tunnel vision on our one, or a handful, of individual subs... but they are likely getting 1000+ packages a day. Puts things in perspective, a litte...

but...

still, personally, frustrating!

Think they're being pretty lenient unless its a card worth $5-10k+.
They can't hold our cards captive for almost a year then hit us with an upcharge as they open the flood gates and release all these MJ specials. That would be extremely f'ed up double whammy.

Is it unusual to receive to be sent an extra shipment from PSA with no mention of why it is being sent?

I sent in my first PSA submission back in January, and the regular submission, part 1 of a 2 part order (2nd being bulk), went into QA1/2 around Feb-10/11. It stayed like that for a few days and I never received any email from PSA about grades or shipping.

I noticed over last weekend though from my USPS informed delivery account, that PSA mailed me a package late 2/11 using First-Class Package Service--USPS Tracking.

I then notice on 2/14 about the grade being ready, and then about the order being shipped on 2/16. The tracking number sent to me was completely different than the first one though and this time it was sent via Priority Mail®--Signature Confirmation™Up to $100 insurance included.

So one package sent 2/11, the other sent 2/16, and I'm only expecting one card. What's going on?

I have an economy crossover entered 8/28 that has been in grading since 9/2. A couple monster cards I would love to just have back and be happy with my gem mint 9.5's at this point.
I also have 2 express that were entered 1/28 that have been stuck in grading hoping they get done soon.
I have just stopped looking at the others.

Did you recently renew a membership or order any supplies from them? I got a random package once, and it was like a welcome kit for joining collectors club

I signed up for a silver membership back at the end of December. I guess that's most likely what it is then, because I never got any sort welcome kit yet. Thanks!

I think Modern is taking longer than Ultra Modern. I have orders entered 9/3/20 and 10/1/20 (Value Modern) that are still R&ID

I know one of the Soto foils had one of those weird spots in the foil, so I bet that's the one that got a 9. The Acuna I thought for sure was a 10, but you can't win them all.

I was most nervous about the LouBob, so I'm very excited it graded out!

And that’s exactly why I stopped doing Express and now do the $50 Regular if I absolutely have to. The Regular $50 and “Express” $75 are getting pushed through at exactly the same time frames and of course in no particular order.
