Spot on with this post...they seem to be processing the ultra moderns ahead of the moderns...makes business sense but sucks for the customers.

Just posted on PSA website...more delays:
Due to severe weather, FedEx and UPS have requested that outbound shipments be temporarily halted. Rest assured, your submissions are safe within the PSA vault. Shipments will resume as soon as we are able. For more information, please visit the UPS and FedEx websites. Please be advised that incoming shipments may also be impacted. Looks like they suspended custom encapsulation as well today.

That being said, they really need to develop a 9.5 rating to match their competition. With every major grader offering a 9.5, it seem inevitable that PSA will have to adapt. When they have capacity, they could run specials to regrade 9's.

Good! Maybe we can get all those PSA shipping shipping/receiving people placed on different steps of the process for a couple days! |

If you do a submission form online today, does it lock in the old prce?

Only if you submit it in final. If you start it but don't go through all the steps and finalize it, the price is not locked in. In the past, some people got away with the form having an old price but they've tweaked something in their system so that won't happen any more. So the price is whatever the price is when you submit the form at the final step. Once you submit in final, in theory you have 30 days to actually ship it out. But...if you end up having more/less/different cards and have to go back and edit the form, then you will lose the old pricing if the pricing has changed.

Just had my upcharges email POP on a 114 card value submission that had been received on 7/16.
Did not do as well as I had hoped. I think they definitely pop controlled this and I made the mistake of sending in too many of the same card back to back to back. This likely made teenie tiny imperfections stand out from card to card. I have learned a lot about better submission tactics since I sent these in! 52 PSA 10 (31 Luka Rookies, 14 Trae) 60 PSA 9 (46 Luka Rookies, 11 Trae) 2 PSA 8 (probably missed something on the back?) Didn't get hit too much on upcharges. Most went from $12 to $20. Even like Tri-Color select Trae rookie PSA 10 only got the $20 charge (which is only $8 more). Same for Luka Donruss PSA 10's. They hit me for $20 on 2 of them and didn't hit me on the other 2. weird but I am thankful! Luka Select 10's all got hit for $50, but the Luka Optic 10s only got hit for $20. Didn't hit me at all for stuff like Luka Studio Bronze PSA 10. Overall, the were really easy on the upcharges. |

Hi everyone, new to this forum and wanted to post my first ever grading submission. Also had a few questions.
6 Card Economy Shipped: 09/12/2020 Delivered: 09/16/2020 Entered: 10/16/2020 Grading: 11/16/2020 Assembly: ? QA1: ? QA2: ? Shipped:? I know it's estimated to take about 6-9 months and I'm about 81 business days in but I'm so excited I end up checking everyday lol. Here are the cards that I submitted: -2018 PANINI SELECT 25 LUKA DONCIC -2018 PANINI CONTENDERS ROOKIE TICKET DUAL SWATCHES RDLT LUKA DONCIC/TRAE YOUNG -2018 PANINI PRIZM 280 LUKA DONCIC -2018 PANINI DONRUSS OPTIC 177 LUKA DONCIC SHOCK -2018 PANINI DONRUSS OPTIC 177 LUKA DONCIC SHOCK -2019 PANINI CONTENDERS ROOKIE TICKET DUAL SWATCHES RDWRZ ZION WILLIAMSON\RJ BARRETT This is the first time I ever sent anything in to be graded so I'm just going off my untrained eyes opinion when inspecting the cards. I understand the basics for grading (corners, surface, centering) and to me the corners and centering all looked great, I think they could be 9's (maybe 10, i wish). I see people here say they use a magnifying glass to really inspect the surface. To the blind eye the surface on these cards looked fine to me. I guess what i'm asking is what are peoples experiences with sending in cards for grading that to them, just by their eye looked to be possibly a 9? Do they often come back better, worse, or just what you were expecting. All these cards i paid about $100 total for so even if they all came back 8's i still hit a homerun, I'm just praying I get a 10 in there to really hit it big (if i even sell them lol) Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks |
