Hopefully this post doesn’t hurt your feelings so you don’t run to the mods and get me a day off like last time

I don’t take you serious enough to run to the mods , ask them

I’m not the spokeswoman for all liberals. I can only speak to mine . By the way , you strike me as a decent person despite our differences

True it is their choice. They can choose not to work for minimum wage. They can choose to acquire skills that would pay them more than minimum wage. They can choose to work harder and advance in their own company to make more than minimum wage. They can choose to work during this crisis to prove to their employer that they are valuable which may lead to advancement. They can choose to ask for more money because....well just because. This countries full of choices.

thank you, you too. full transparency, I typically vote republican due to moral reasons. I did not vote for trump because I couldn't do so in good conscience though I do think he has done a fairly decent job. Doesn't change who he is so I probably won't vote for him again.

I am an employed minister but I understand why people have a negative view of churches and christians.

just to fill in any gaps

You forgot the most obvious choice: They one where they can sit on their butts for three months while they make MORE money being unemployed.

Thanks Liberal Trump.

It is also the employers choice to pay enough so their employees can live a reasonable life. If you look just a little below the surface you will see most people have very few choices

You’re right. They made their choice so go out and do what you need to do to make them change that choice. We can talk in circles about this all day but nothing either one of us is going to say is gonna change either of our minds.

But if the minimum was $15 or $100, they wouldn't owe any loyalty at that point either.

I agree , the only thing you owe your employer is to do the best job you can while you’re on the clock

Even at $7.25 per hour. That is the agreed upon wage, so you still owe it. Even though you disagreed earlier. Now we are getting somewhere.

No , I never said anything like that . If it is in your best interest to show up and clock in , do your best. Nowhere did I say an employee owes anything else

I'm confused. How did the ridiculous section of the bill that gives unemployed too big of a gift a trump thing?
Didn't the Dems draw that section up?
I thought trump and GOP agreed to it just so rest of bill would pass ?

You better watch out. Your sounding like a liberal.

I'm totally fine with helping people who have been devastated by this virus, lost jobs, have payments to make, etc....Many of my friends have been hurt by this and I truly feel terrible for them and I am glad they will be getting assistance.

What I'm not cool with is handing out money like candy to people, thus giving them no incentive to go back to work when this is over because they can make MORE MONEY doing nothing and collecting a fat check.

It's called charity and socialism. What many people on the board have been calling the "libtards". Now the shoe is Trumps foot and he's the "libtard"
