Really?

This list from March has Giannis at 5 in jersey sales and Trae at 14

This list from 2020 has Giannis at 5 and Trae not in the top 15

If this board is any indicator, Suns/Clips vs Bucks finals probably would not do too well for ratings.

Just look at the chatter from a potential closeout game btwn Phoenix & the Clips that was tight til the 4th last night. Just over 1 page of talk. Hawks vs. Sixers semis there was usually 5+ pages per game (maybe closer to 10 for some)

There just aren't too many interesting story lines to casuals alive still. That being said the NBA should be hoping the Hawks make it so they can get increased viewership/chatter from Trae haters alone.

Suns & Bucks are probably the two best teams overall, but that series doesn't sound super exciting. Clips vs Bucks I may not even tune in at all and I'm a bigger basketball fan than anyone I know.

I'm wrong until the next jersey sales report comes out; then we can discuss

Ratings might not be too great but I'm excited to see if Giannis can get a ring.

In fairness March is a long ways back now, especially seeing as Trae is playing in his first playoff series ever now, and the Hawks weren't on a ton of nationally televised games this season due to their lack of previous pedigree. Doubt the list exists, but I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Trae has been outselling GIannis in the last few months. Also, next year the Hawks will definitely be nationally televised far more, so the 2022 numbers would probably tell a better story.

Okay.. thats fine if you want to say that Trae has probably outsold him since March, (maybe it's true, maybe not)...

but are you going to tell me that 3 months of sales and closed the ground on X many years Giannis has been in front of Trae?

That's really high for a road team.

-7 now and that would be like -13 at home...

It's part of the game. Atlanta is only down 2-1 and I'm already starting to see the excuses come out. Yes, Trae twisted his ankle and had to play through pain, but that didn't cause Middleton to go nuclear, or Trae to miss a wide open 3 when they were tied at 98, or Collins to miss two free throws, etc.

Just take it from me on this guys... if your team loses don't bother making excuses, because every team could have one if you squint. I could be complaining the Philly lost because Embiid was not 100%, or that Green was out.... but instead I admit that the real reason they lost is because they were outplayed when it mattered most.
Excuses are always going to come because it's natural. Like I said before though, it doesn't matter at the end of the day. Trae's foot injury impacted their offense in the 4th and I don't doubt it impacted his shot in some way but there's no guarantee they win had Trae been healthy. The Bucks took advantage of what was given to them and they were the better team in the 4th and that won them the game.

Yeah I understand that. Just seems with Trae’s injury it would of been more.

Here's the reason you see so much chatter on a sports card forum about Trae and the Hawks.

I could do the same for Devin Booker or Kawhi and we would get a similar result.

Every kid wants to be a whiney little bitch like Trae is? I mean you might be right, most kids can be little a**holes.

Hoping the Bucks can take care of business tonight and then end this thing at home on Thursday in front of the fans. Life as a Bucks fan has been pretty painful my entire life, so the fans deserve to be able to celebrate with the team at home.

nice graphic, yeah I was going to comment on the "kids all know / love Trae" comment, that I don't think that's true. Almost everyone I know is a basketball fan in some form, but I'd bet that most of them don't know much about Trae other than "he's a small guy that scores a lot". I think the amount of exposure of certain players on BO and FB groups makes people think that's how popular they are with the general fan base, but I think it takes years of success for players to catch on with the general public.

I just think you go out on the street outside of MKE and ATL ask the average who this is when showing a picture in uniform of Giannis and Young more people will know who Giannis is. He's been a 2X MVP and shown all over the media a lot the last couple years.

Agreed. The adage about "choose your sport" good vs. hobby good applies here. To the average, non-collecting casual fan, far more people will know about Giannis because he has played in the league longer, been an all star more times, has 2 mvp's, etc. Trae has accomplished very little yer relatively speaking.

Note that I am not even mentioning the fact that you cannot compare grading pops when it comes to 2013 and 2018 Prizm. There just wasn't much 2013 Prizm relatively speaking. Also in some cases, you cannot compare certain sets to other sets in terms of grading (like most O-Pee-Chee baseball sets) as one set could have systemic centering or edge issues making 10's all but impossible, one set was not widely ripped, etc).

No and why would I suggest that? I'm saying that Trae in the past 3 months jersey sales have increased more and if you look at jerseys bought in the last month I'd say Trae has him beat.

I wouldn't buy a Trae jersey if I had too. Much rather take Giannias, but that doesn't appeal to the kiddos.

Trae has a hobbled leg and if he looks anything like he did in the 3rd quarter of their previous game it's a wrap at halftime
