What’s most interesting is how Bron bois have tried to meld context and Lexcuses all into one large entity.

My favorite one is how he can be the greatest player in the league because of his personal numbers (“player of the month”) despite his age during the regular season but can’t expect him to have great personal results because of his age even though he is the best player when he loses in the playoffs, all at the same time.

The contradiction is mind-boggling, and reeks of desperate Bron homerism and bad investment choices.

That’s not a Bron fan base thing. That’s common sense. You seem to ignore context when it is fitting for you and call it excuses. And this isn’t a “Bron homer” thing. I think most people get sucked into arguing with you for that very reason. Moving goal posts. Deciding when things are context vs excuses. Whatever fits your narrative. You can’t have it both ways

Or maybe you can in your delusional world

Also.. I asked you once to not gaslight. I’ll ask again. Don’t say contradicting garbage and then accuse me or anyone else of it. Thanks.

And Rui and Hayes. It's not just Lebron. They are down 3 of their starting 5. Show me a team in the NBA that wins in that position. This run without Lebron is not a statement on Luka.

OKC, Cleveland and Boston would continue winning if they were missing 3 of their 5 starters.

I guess that's why they are contenders and the Lakers are not.

They were on a 9 win streak IIRC and some of them without Rui and Hayes too. Only Lebron is the difference. And they just lost to G league Nets and blown out by Bucks who were on 3 games losing streak. Doesn't really bode well tbh

Not a statement but wont really bode well when you're losing to Nets. Name me a contender that would lost to Nets losing 3 of their starting 5. Hell, Bulls just won today with Huerter Buzelis Vucevic White and jones

Yes because no contenders have ever lost a regular season game even at full strength in an 82 game season

Honestly this Bucks game is one they should have lost. It was the Nets game they lost by 3 on a 8-26 Luka shooting performance that was the one that hurt.

For sure..it was definitely a bad loss but that guy acts like losing a game to a bad team is some kind of rare occurance that never happens and is a death sentence to a team. I mean you should know Delta's schtick by now from the garbage he posts in the Mahomes thread. Earlier in the year when the Celtics lost to the Traeless Hawks..dude went off on how it was a defining moment in their season and they were done..just LOL. Teams lose game they shouldn't. It happens. It's not ideal but it happens

LeBron would have made no difference in tonight's game. The Bucks had four players with 20 or more points, and another with 16. Both Luka and Reaves balled out tonight and it wasn't close. This was a good game for LeBron to sit. I wouldn't use this game, if you're arguing the Lakers can't win without LeBron.

They are playing Nuggets next, so another game where L doesnt really matter? At some point you need to win against tough opponents, you cant always make reason when you faced tough opponents. And I wouldnt really call Bucks worldbeater, they're on a slump

That said. You keep calling the Nets a G League team. Claxton, Thomas, Russell and to some extent Johnson are all legitimate NBA players. I dont see that when I look at the Lakers. Their depth stinks.

Secondly, in the last month that G League team took both the Warriors and Cavs to the end of the game and beat the Rockets. No argument they stink but they aren't a G League team. And if you're asking if the Cavs lose to them without Mobley, Garland and Allen? Yes, they do.

My main point is I dont know how you watch the game last night and think the loss has anything to do with Luka. They lost because they have no clue who to play at Center or Power Forward that doesnt get absolutely bodied by Giannis.

Maybe the real point of contention is whether the Lakers are a contender without Lebron? I agree for now. But long term if they can find a legitimate center and build around Luka they will be a serious title contender again.

So your point is that the Cavs lose if they are missing all of their 6 best players?

That's not apples to apples to what just happened to the Lakers. Cavs were already down 3 of their top 6 players. The main difference is that Garland goes 7-10 for 18 points in the 4th where Luka goes 2-4 with 5 pts. It's not a big deal in the scheme of things, just one game they probably shouldn't have let go.

Fair take, all great points. We shall see what future holds

Not disagreeing here, but LeBron’s leadership on the court. And his defense was missed

My point was if the Cavs were missing 3 of their starting 5 during that game they likely lose it too. Mitchell and Lavert were out against Brooklyn, now take out Garland, Allen or Mobley on top of that. Do they still win? I agree the Lakers shouldn't have dropped the game. Luka had a bad game.

I still think the Lakers win a playoff series this year. They desperately need bigs.

I think the big difference is:

- Cavs don't have to "win" right now (they are the 1st seed by far)
- They were on a 14 game win streak (hard to keep that up, even against bad teams)
- I don't think LaVert is gonna play for them again this season

The Lakers are entering their toughest stretch of the season and that was the easiest or second easiest game. They can fall to the 5th (or even 6th) seed because of that game. They needed that win.

LaVert isn’t on the team so probably accurate. Haha

Yes I know you made the same joke

Can put this one in the ground. Not only did Luka drop 45 on them, but the Lakers out rebounded the Mavs despite the big selling point of the trade being the formation of the best front court in the league. Surely the tunnel dweller is fired any day now.

AD is only averaging 1.5 more rebounds a game on the Mavs than Luka was. Not to mention how the trade affected scoring and floor spacing for Dallas
