You'd think they'd get a new hamster in the wheel to keep the servers running before the sale started...I guess they were to concerned with making travel plans to Chicago to do any pre-planning for the sale...

Gotta love the site crashing so much. I usually do not complain, but damn it has been spotty this last month.

Makes you wonder how they’re trying to demo the site to potential users at the National booth. Middle of a ‘sale’, middle of the National Convention.

Some people will say their sales haven't changed, and even improved. Good for them. Just because yours haven't been negatively affected, doesn't mean most are in the same boat.

My desire to sell cards on the site has been dwindling. I still have some stuff, but not a lot.
I've tried to adjust. I really have. It might just be that the .02, .03 and .04 cards aren't worth buying any more, which is a reeeeeeeeally bad sign for comc in the short and long-term.

Most of the flippers do have to adjust now. Also some sellers have adjust by rising their price so they will get more money from eBay/amazon sales.

I told Tim in 2011 that he should beware that COMC may become a big warehouse of cards that would not sale. It is looking like that.

Right now their ads are pushing flipping card on COMC for profit.

that doesn't make any sense considering those type of sales are 5% fee now instead of 20%, but you're probably right about some misguided sellers doing that

However if they some how figured a way to give free processing or credits for items that sell above a certain $ to cut down on some of the junk

This doesnt make any sense, you make the same amount through COMC no matter where it sells. If I list a card for $10 on COMC and then COMC is able to sell it on ebay I still get my $10.

Two guys I know personally that does it.

1. Do not use eBay through COMC before the change. Cards have been setting on COMC for some time. Cards are priced under $.75 so there is no storage fees. Mostly .30 to .50

2. Now priced at $.99 to $1.25 So they get .94 vs the .46 If it sales. IF is the word. They are hoping on it.

3. Will take .50 offers.

4. Do not cash out buys cards for PC or ones to sale on eBay themselves.

Yes there are a lot of misguided sellers thinking their cards worth more.

Again I dont understand the point here, it is completely irrelevant what it sells for on ebay. Ebay is simply another outlet to try and sell your card. If you get the price that you are asking for through COMCs website then it doesnt matter if it sold through, COMC, ebay, or to a bum in a back alley. The only people that get mad at this are bitter than COMC is making a little extra more, which to me is a bit childish. You are getting what you asked for, be happy.

Haha I actually noticed that like 3 weeks ago and thought "Man, I wonder how much wasted server bandwidth this adds up to every day"

COMC needs to hire some app developers and get an Apple / Android app on the market. We need a younger generation to be invested, and buying/selling cards on a phone is the way to do it.

I'm in web development... it's not 'easy' to do this, but they should make the investment. In my small development team of 3 we're expected to AT LEAST make our application mobile compatible, which COMC is not.

Their website isn’t mobile compatible? That’s funny, 90% of my buying is done via iPhone or iPad Safari.

They need an app though. Using the browser on phone sucks.

I'm one of the few that an app would not help as I do not have a cell phone. I have given my 2 cents worth enough times it would be $100.00 now. No one is listening.

As a player collector (797 players) the following would be great for me.

1. hide/ignore feature. Would love to hide cards I have and would not have to see them when I pull up a players name. Example Ahman Green total cards he has 2900+ COMC has 1,257 listed, I have 989 cards. I would say I have approx. 700 of the cards listed on COMC. It is just so time consuming to look through all the cards.

2. The watch list needs to be set up so yo can watch the card and not just the one item. You watch one card out of 6 and you may miss a great deal.

3. Love to see better ways to sort the watch list. With 1,300+ cards on it . It takes time to go through. Sorting by names would be very helpful.

4. A lot of other small things that would speed up the search. Letting users set their own defaults.

I know we have all sent in features that we like.

An app isn't going to happen anytime soon...that's why they made the changes to the website a few years ago, to make it compatible for phones and tablets. Granted, they need to put more into it to make it more stable and reliable, as well as the list in this post - there are more things they could do, but they don't need an app.
