Jealous of everyone's Tatis collection. Just got back into card collecting and was overwhelmed by all the product that is now available. I like how Topps has reused previous designs in modern cards. Started a collage of Tatis in Topps designs over the years. With Tatis entering his 3rd year in the majors, he already had an impressive collection of retro designs through 2020. We should see even more gaps filled in Topps designs with all the 2021 inserts, Heritage, TBT, Project 70 and Archives.

Well ... he's going to be a Padre for a very very long time. Beyond that, we'll just have to wait and see.

Smart move for Tatis. There is no difference between locking in $340MM today vs. $500MM tomorrow; except for the unbelievable feeling of knowing that you have more money than you could ever need and can change the lives of anyone you want.

All for a 22 year old kid w/ 168 base hits.

Well a couple of 410 PSA 10s ended at $396 and $356 just now, so yeah.

All the BINs of $300 got scooped too.

Ya’ll made me go buy one more 203 PSA 10 while I could still get it for $370. Have a feeling they’ll be regularly over $400 moving forward.

He's giving up a lot of $$$....AAV is <$25 million a year.

By the time that he reached free agency at age 26, he would have been in line for $40-50 a year...

Ha yeah this isn’t NFL where it’s not guaranteed. If he’s smart with the money he will make a ton more. Plus it would seem lots of endorsements on top. 145 mil for 19 years of Acuna and Albies, yikes.

It's going to be a crazy steal in 5+ years from now, at this rate contracts will be much bigger and in the near future tatis might be consider underpaid.

IMO mlb should come up with a salary cap.

He probably wants the team to be able to sign good players, unlike many others. Tatis!
